Punta Cana

I would rate the stay as a whole 8/10 with a few minor points. Added to the weak points. The jet tub on the roof was not working. Eduardo was was a tremendous help in getting maintenance to try and fix it , but it looked very worn out . This is not a big deal , but it was part of the advertised package

This resort was excellent, very clean and tidy. Disappointed we didn't get the room we selected (we received 2 double beds for our honeymoon), however we did like the location and view of our balcony. Inconsistent with having the fridge restocked with water, but we made request to housekeeping through the app and they were always met. Room service was disappointing. We liked that we weren't at a party resort, however we did feel like the entertainment could have done a better job. Mostly older couples/groups 50 and we felt we were apart of the youngest at 34 years old. They really could have done a better job with the entertainment... if your 70 the entertainment is perfect. If they selected hit songs from the eras of the shows they did then it would have been much better. Over all a great resort and i would defiantly consider staying at another Riu... or this resort in 30 years. Friendly hardworking staff. Restaurant were so fantastic!

I spent the most wonderful week of my life at the Royalton Chic. I spent the extra for the Diamond Club and it did not disappoint The weather and resort were beautiful, the service from the staff was top knotch.

Note that we booked in Diamond Club and so used our butler to handle the restaurant reservations. Otherwise booking restaurants each day took some guests over an hour in line to setup. The hotel feels a bit dated, we stayed in March 2024 and in our room (diamond club) we had several issues: 1. Sliding Bathroom door was broken, it ended up locking a guest in for 30 min, after repairs, it would not close more than halfway without sticking to the floor. 2. Sliding Room partition did not work at all. It was entirely off the track so we could not partition off our room from the main area. 3. The TV's are partially broken with black lines over parts of the screen 4. Very humid in the room regardless of how AC was set. 5. Not enough spots to hang towels and bathing suits. Nothing seems to dry out at all even when hung properly. Every morning we put on cold, wet bathing suits. Overall the resort suffers the same issues as many others, Lots of seating is "reserved" by ghosts who put a towel down and then are not seen for hours. Frequently the resort ran out of clean beach towels so you couldn't reserve chairs or dry off properly. Food was fairly good but most fish, pork and beef were overcooked. Generally the burgers and chicken were the most reliably well cooked. Expect to do a lot of relaxing or socializing as the activities were limited. There is a mini golf course and one volleyball net is available. Diamond club included access to a "water park", but there are only 6 slides. The water park was close-by but offsite and after 2 hours our kids were done with it. There are also Kayaks and Hobi Cat's available and the wind was always favorable for the sailing. This is a fantastic place to go and decompress and soak up some sun while never having to worry about cooking or cleaning. But there are cheaper options for that type of vacation.

We would not return to the Fantasia. It was great for the children aged 8-13. The water park kept them busy. The staff at the hotel, were, for the most part not friendly & spoke very little English. Therefore it was hard for us to communicate with them if there was something we wanted. Medium “rare” steaks came to us medium “well.” Small example. Not a very friendly or helpful front desk staff. They are the frontline & when you bring 9 people to the resort you expect a more friendly welcome. Beach was ok. Need a train to get there, which is fine. Except if you have mobility issues, it's almost impossible to climb the step into the seat. The a la carte restaurants had good & efficient staff & the food was very good at the El Paradiso.

Great resort! We were with my daughter's family where 2 of them are gluten free and dairy free! They were very satisfied with the food so it made our stay even more enjoyable!!

Our location was amazing at the beach. The 2 palm grill should not be club restaurant for breakfast & lunch as it's the only place to eat at the beach. The beach grill has no where to sit and eat it unless in your beach chair. . Beach way nicer at dreams flora and further up. Therefore itself is beautiful, gardens ect. The restaurants are nice & have great food, especially Mexican and Asian. The pools are very nice and nicely lit at night. But we did not go in as we are beach people. It does have a pool swim up bar. The resort is quite small so if mobility issues would be great, but for exploring found it a little small, but beautiful. We booked snorkeling from the beach which was fun. Did not do anything with vibes as they are more expensive. Checkin was great, lady we had was fantastic. Checkout not so much. Bunch of men working. We were waiting for the complimentary rom to change and seemed very disorganized, and didn't seem to care we had a bus to catch. I found the lobby bartenders much friendlier than the morning pool bartenders. Afternoon guy at the pool was alot happier. The coffee spot was fantastic! Enjoyed the air conditioning and cold coffee in the afternoon. Was so muggy. Lol I had one night our air conditioning did not work well. It got very hot. They did fix it the next day. Thank God.

Wow what vacation! It was amazing! The resort is beautiful, pools fantastic, beaches out of this world.. and finally the restaurants were off the charts so good. Finally i want to thank Bergeron travel, specifically Kiki Stedman , she took care of everything to ensure our vacation was well organized and all of our pre-vacation requirements were satisfied. To all the staff and management at Bavaro thanks and finally Kiki thanks so much..

Would never have booked had I know it was going to be screaming kids everywhere. Thank god we had Preferred so we did everything on adult side. Staff need to be trained in hospitality. Friendlier on adult side. Drinks hit and miss! Was often given drinks without premium liquor even when I asked for it. Whoever was above us kept us up with noise of scraping chairs and running around sometimes until 3am. We were in building 4, 3rd floor. Beach sucked!! Got bit by bugs and water sucked so only spent one day on beach. We did find quiet pool and stayed there for rest of trip. Overpaid for 3 star quality.

This was our second time at Impressive PREMIUM Punta Cana. It is worth the slight increase in cost for the Premium section of the resort as the beach section has many more palapas for those who enjoy shade while on the beach... and rwo pools for Premium guests including a large Quiet Pool. The Premium lounge is a great option for breakfast, late lunch or quiet drink. We booked a pool view room but was upgraded to a villa with ocean view (if you look to the left when on the veranda you can see the ocean...the sound of the waves was nice). The room and veranda are definitely smaller than the pool view room ... but the main issue was that our room faced out to the beach where they had a wedding reception one night and a party the next. The music was so loud one could not watch TV, read or relax during the festivities (that went until 2330h).We asked to move to e regular pool view room and what a wonderful improvement - much larger, with bigger veranda, improved bathroom ... The first time we were there, our concierge booked all the a la carte restaurants ... this time we had to do this on an App. Difficult to get into the Grill - but we did for the last night at 2130h - but the hostess was able to get us in an hour earlier (thank you - best meal too). There is not much to do (we are not into ATV in muddy river beds or ziplining) but for one week of sleep, reading and total relaxation which is what we were looking for) ... we really enjoy this resort. .
