Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana

Spent 1 week. Booked VIP. Special check in area with bar and food. Staff Building #1 facing the pool. And ocean. King bed, comfy. Room recently renovated April 2025. Grounds. Well kept. Pools. Clean. Chairs are hard to come by. Arrive early. We heard 7-8am. Staff will remove things sitting unattended after 45 minutes. And we saw them doing it. Water park is fun. Adult approved Bars. Speedy with friendly staff. Great selection of drinks to try. Restaurants. Excellent service. Food is good. Ala carte are rotating days open, no reservations. Arrive early if you want a spot, first come first serve. Otherwise a wait. They have those drink coasters that buzz when your table is ready. Only visited the buffet a few times. Snack bar. Nice selection. Never got to try the pizza. During the lunch rush the wait was 30 mins plus. Loved the nachos with queso. Daily! Coffee Bar. Visited every day for tea and cappuccino. Tried a different pastry everyday. Favorite was Teppanyaki. Deep fried ice cream for dessert. Shows. Very good. Dancing, music, circus and magic show Beach. Nice and sandy. Chairs are hard to come by. Arrive early as the chairs go fast. Could use some more sun protection. Umbrellas or palapas would be a nice addition. Bars close by We watched multiple turtles to the right of the swim area. We stayed on the resort the whole time. Except to walk down the beach everyday. [Details]

Beautiful resort, extremely clean and maintained. Lazy river/water park kept our children busy all week. Great area of beach to swim( no seaweed at this time) Italian restaurant and sushi amazing. Buffets mediocre. Live music in evenings great. Very family oriented great for our boys of 10 and 13. [Details]

This is our second time staying at this resort. The new owners have made excellent changes. Grounds are SO well kept and stunning. Food was outstanding and a huge variety of local and international cuisine. You will never go hungry and definitely gain weight! We used the VIP lounge and NEVER disappointed!!! Our room was nice and a great view of the pool/beach. ALL staff were awesome and kind. My only disappointment was too many kids. A lot of older people including us will SADLY not return only for that reason. I highly recommend this truly tropical paradise! [Details]

Likely our 12th trip to Punta Cana, however we've spent the last 10 years exploring other islands. So glad we chose Wyndham Alltra for our return to Punta Cana. Weather, beach and ocean were perfect for this beach loving couple! It was easily accessible for people living with mobility issues. Huge pool and beach with plenty of chairs. I can't stress enough amount the amazing staff, so respectful, kind and gracious! Our room was clean and updated. The food was so good, especially in the buffet (leg of lamb to die for)!
