Worst Experience Ever

This hotel is so hard to deal with, if you're not spending more money when you arrive they are ignorant and rude. They will say welcome family and then when you refuse to upgrade to the members club(which is a joke) anyone could get it or you refuse todo go to the time share, everything changes.

I got food poisoning and was sick 5/7days and ended up being hospitalized in Punta Cana and again when arrived back in Canada.

We had to switch rooms because the tub didn't have hot water and was broken. The pool closes at 6pm every night, so we switched rooms only to find blood on our duvet. And this was suppose to be a brand new clean room. The worst part is the blood wasn't a stain, I took a video and put water and toilet paper to rub it and the blood transferred onto the toilet paper.
The fridge is not stocked daily, it happened once in 7 days.

The food was ok, the only food restaurant was the Japanese one.

I would NOT recommend this hotel.
The beach was nice but you had people trying to sell you stuff every 10 minutes. Even if your eyes were shut and you tried to enjoy the sun they bothered you. [Details]

Our Second Time

We returned to Now Gardens Punta Cana, after visiting it last year and
enjoyed the resort having only 180 rooms, with access to Now Larimar
via a small train going regularly to and from both resorts. In the Garden
resort we were remembered by many of the staff from our previous visit,
and they treated us like family. We chose to enjoy the day by the pool
and travel over to the larger resort for our dining at night. It was a hub of activity, with something for everyone, but we preferred the quietness of the
gardens. If you like a quiet vacation, this is the place to relax. [Details]

First trip for us, the hotel staff was very pleasant espically Jhona,Carolina,Rannierl,Enrique and Wander. We were not fluent in Spanish but they made it an excellent holiday for us we will be back. The food was great as a result of the variety. [Details]

Only go if it's cheap

I will start by saying that we booked this hotel with high expectations and that may have been our problem. We thought based on reviews and after speaking with our travel agent we were getting a good quality resort. It was our anniversary and we wanted a good resort. I will say that some of the staff were great and our room and the resort were always very clean. However the quality of food and drink were very inconsistant. On more then one occasion I bit into raw food(not undercooked, actually raw)midway through a meal. This caused myself and husband to be quite ill a few times during our trip. Some food we had was excellent, but when it was bad it was straight back to the room and stuck there till it passed. In the end we ate pizza and nachos only because they were always cooked properly. The no reservations thing was great until all the restaurants had a 1/2 hours wait, once we even left our name came back and then we told another 45 minutes. So thank goodness for 24hr room service. Also the chairs at the resort (if you we lucky enough to even get one) were in very poor repair. Holes, super saggy or both) not what I expected based on reviews of the chain. Also the walk to the beach through the larimar property was a bit of a hike (this isn't a problem for us but for people with mobilty issues this will be a huge issue)But all that aside the main reason why I say only go if very cheap is the time share people. They are relentless!! They didn't stop the entire time we were there. Multiple times of day everyday. It started in the morning as you walked to breakfast you have to pass them going to the restaurant and out. They don't take no for an answer. I have a pale complection so maybe they thought we just got there??? But even our last day they were trying to get us in for a seminar. It ruined the trip big time and it wasn't want I expected. If I had lower expectations and knew what this resort was about going in I may have booked it, if it was really cheap but I booked for my anniversary and could have stayed at another chain that I know has a quality that meets my expectations for the same price we paid for the now garden. Very disappointed. The resort is very close to the airport only about 30 minutes which is great, Internet was good. Bathroom provided very little privacy not a problem for us but it may be for other travellers and there was little storage space for clothes again not an issue for us but may be for other people. Fabulous. Resort was immaculate. Room was clean; abundance of towels, toiletries and paper product. Air conditioning and fan kept room comfortable and fresh. Public areas, specifically washroom facilities were clean and well supplied at all times. Pool was cleaned several times a day, gardens were beautifully manicured, and there were no mosquitoes.
