I really enjoyed my stay—both the room and the service were excellent. I'd recommend downloading the app; it made things very convenient. Whenever we left the room, we could simply request housekeeping through the app, and they came promptly. Everything ran smoothly, whether we were heading out for dinner or grabbing a quick snack. We didn't use room service, but it was nice to have the option. I also appreciated the hotel's efforts to stay on top of the seaweed situation and keep the beach clean. In fact, everything was clean and new-looking. One area for improvement would be the availability of beach chairs. It often felt like a “first-come with your items to save, but never attend” situation. When I asked a staff member for help, I was told all chairs were taken, even though many appeared unused for hours with belongings left on them. Better management of this would really enhance the experience. Drink service on the beach could also be improved. I did leave the resort briefly for a walk along the hotel strip and unfortunately had a negative experience with local police who attempted to solicit a bribe. While this is not the hotel's fault—and I didn't report it at the time—I would recommend staying on the resort property for peace of mind. I felt very safe while on the hotel property. Lastly, my partner became quite ill on our final day, which made for a difficult trip home. Make sure you bring supplies!

The hotel has many strong points. Buffets are excellent and include many choices including fresh made omelets for breakfast and hamburgers, hotdogs and tacos for lunch. Restaurants were all delicious with excellent service. Pools clean … one heated pool outside the 2000 block on adult side. Beach has many loungers and beach beds and service for drinks is excellent. Room was our only issue… it was beautiful but had a very strong unpleasant odour . Only way to describe was it smelled like cat urine . We talked to front desk but strong odour persisted in bathroom and shower.

We experienced issues with mini bar, amenities, room service, noise and bugs in the room. Contacted the resort and they simply don't seem to care. Food was great but not labelled so incredibly difficult for vegetarians or those with allergies. Only 3 bathrooms for the whole resort and restaurants. Two are outside. Extremely clean however. Staff constantly cleaning the bathrooms and resort grounds.

This was our 2nd time at the resort and we cannot wait to go again! We loved every moment of our stay. Zero complaints! So grateful.

Trying to reserve à la carte restaurant was near impossible. We were lucky to get 2 out of 7… most of the staff are amazing and accommodating Entertainment was good in the evening and the trolleys that you can use to get to/from the resorts are great.

This is a small and quiet resort but we had an amazing experience. Everything is close by, food and drinks were good..

Love the nature walk through the jungle to get from the lobby to the pool and beachfront. Great beach with lots of lounge chairs to choose from. Easy to get into and out of the ocean. Delicious breakfast and lunch in the beach front grill. Good drinks at the various bars. Speciality restaurants all located near the lobby area. Five speciality restaurants to choose from with good food. Early evening musical entertainment in the lobby area was exceptional. Room was spacious with lots of marble.

Pros • Exceptional cleanliness throughout the entire resort. • Good buffet variety. I chose to eat exclusively at the buffet to avoid the à la carte restaurants, which had limited menu options compared to the buffet, and long wait times for seating and service. Special thanks to the excellent buffet servers: Alexis, Teresita, and Norman. • Beautiful beach with fine sand and a long shoreline perfect for walking or running. • Plenty of loungers and umbrellas available on the beach. Cons • Service motivation tied to tipping: some restaurant servers became noticeably more attentive only after receiving a tip. • Room cleaning is not automatic. You must place a tag on the door or submit a request through the app. • Beach maintenance disrupts the experience: every morning between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., a large agricultural tractor raked the beach for about two hours. It passed back and forth repeatedly, blowing sand onto towels and creating noise and exhaust. If you're hoping for a peaceful morning by the ocean, this makes it difficult. When I reported this to customer service, they explained that the tractor is operated and scheduled by the government, not the resort, so they cannot do anything about it, that I didn't believe. • Unreliable Wi‑Fi on the beach, frequently dropping connection. • No enforcement of the no‑smoking rule on the beach, often people smoke right beside other guests. • Rooms and rental towels feel worn and outdated. • Some dishes at the Moctezuma buffet could be washed more thoroughly. • The frequency of disturbances from intoxicated guests: over seven days, I witnessed about five incidents of people screaming from balconies, passing out on or under loungers, or being carried to their rooms by staff.

Hotel was great, a little dated and needs some TLC but we heard this is being planned. Bring plenty of sunscreen. Cost at resort is rediculous. Hotel is 30 minutes from airport so nice and close. Request building 6, closest to the pool Request the swim out room as it is definitely worth the extra cost and you wont need to claim deck chairs at 6am.
