We had a wonderful time, staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, food was great. It would help to know that restaurants do not take reservations as most do, and they rotate openings, so there are lines to get in. Also, more umbrellas for shade would be great

The room was pretty basic, but everything else was amazing: food, staff, beach, pools.

During our 14 day stay at Velas, we hit a couple "road bumps" early but the management and staff were very accommodating and helpful in finding resolutions. Would be nice to have a third restaurant option, but the ones that are available changed up their menus regularly and provided excellent tasting food and great service. It was great to see grounds staff maintaining the common areas constantly. Nightly entertainment in the lobby was fun. Mexican night dinner was fun. The kids loved the pool and lazy river. Its too bad the staff still have to wear masks - it must be very uncomfortable for them. We were very surprised (and dismayed) to see that children under 5 were required to wear masks in the kids zone (even outdoors).

It was my first time travelling to Puerto Vallarta, and as a solo traveler, I was a bit anxious. However, from the moment I stepped foot into Dreams Vallarta Resort, my experience surpassed all expectations, leaving me utterly impressed so I felt compelled to share a thorough review: 1)Room: While I booked a Preferred Club Room with an Ocean View, my view encompassed only partial ocean view and resort pools but nonetheless, it was enchanting, and I was delighted with my accommodation. The room itself was clean, spacious, bed was comfy, and mini bar and amenities were refilled immediately upon request. However, the true highlight of the Preferred Club experience was the dedicated butler service. Assigned to my room was the invaluable Jose Becerra, whose unwavering commitment to ensuring my comfort elevated my stay immeasurably. From daily check-ins to thoughtful gestures, Jose's exemplary service exemplified hospitality at its finest. The entire Preferred Club staff, including Isabel, Hector and Erika, contributed to the overall experience of my stay. For those considering the Preferred Club, I wholeheartedly recommend requested Jose as your butler. 2)Staff: Without exception, the resort staff exhibited unparalleled friendliness, professionalism, and dedication. Their concerted efforts to ensure guest satisfaction were palpable, underscoring the importance of acknowledging their exemplary service through gratuities so make sure you tip them because they truly deserve it. 3)Pool/Beach: The pools and beach areas were meticulously maintained, with ample seating and towels. Service was prompt and courteous, with Hugo standing out for his exceptional attentiveness The beach itself was great with smooth sands, further enhancing the resort's allure. 4)Restaurants: From breakfast and lunch buffets to themed dinners, the culinary offerings were diverse and delicious. Each restaurant, whether Italian, Japanese, Mexican or International buffet-style, surpassed expectations. Notably, the Mexican restaurant, Tamarindo, stood out for its impeccable service (especially Abraham and Maria), vibrant ambiance, and mouthwatering cuisine, including the captivating spectacle of fresh guacamole preparation tableside. 5)Entertainment: The resort's entertainment team, led by the dynamic trio of Sarai, Alberto and Octavio, ensured a lively atmosphere throughout the day. Evening activities in the main lobby ranging from live music, karaoke and bingo nights were great and entertaining. Additionally, guests could groove the night away at the on-site nightclub with a DJ spinning tunes from 10:30 pm until 1:00 am daily. 6)Location: The resort's location is ideal, situated centrally and within close proximity to numerous attractions, notably the Malecon which is an ideal destination for first-time visitors to Puerto Vallarta. A mere 10-minute cab ride transports you to this bustling locale. Throughout my stay, I found the locals to be exceptionally friendly, and the overall environment exuded a sense of safety and security, contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable experience. While there's much more I could praise about, my overall experience at Dream Vallarta was nothing short of exceptional. I eagerly anticipate my next visit and extend heartfelt thanks to the entire Dream Vallarta team for creating such unforgettable memories during my stay.

Resort was amazing and beautiful! All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Will be back!!

We had a very relaxing,quiet 2 weeks at the resort. Food was ok,after a couple of days we realized that choices were repetitive and limited. The room was very clean and cleaned everyday by housekeeping.In the evening she would turn down the bed and leave a chocolate on the pillow. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose this resort for peace and quiet and adults only and for those reasons it was exactly what we experienced.

Hotel staff was great and friendly. The food was terrible. Not much for seafood or meats other than chicken. Everything was full of sauces so it was hard to realize what the food was. Very vague on the a la cart. Most people didn't know it existed and if you wanted any good cuts of meat you had to pay extra. Snacks at the beach were only popcorn and chips. Worst part of it all was there was no bathrooms at the beach. So you couldn't enjoy your time at the beach. There was a shuttle bus to and fro the beach but guest were not informed.

Grounds are pretty, Pools are nice, rooms are great! Service around the pool is slow and what you ordered either didn't come or wasn't correct. The food is maybe a 3/10. The Italian was terrible food, Spanish was good and service in there was top notch. The buffet was scary most days, the chef doing the eggs could wear gloves, she was touching everything and using her hands to touch peoples food. Not good at all! I did not like how you have to book the restaurants only 1 per day. It's a pain, we're on vacation we don't want something becoming a job. Just let people book them all at the same time. You only get 3 anyways. The bugs are horrible!!!!!! Still recovering from being eaten alive. I know there's not much you can do but I have never had this issue anywhere else in my 15 years of traveling to PV Mexico. I found some staff not friendly or overly thrilled to be there. You could tell they hated what they were doing. Usually that's a management issue in my opinion. Check in and out was efficient and smooth. Went for a massage at the spa and I can say it was good but over priced. I am usually a big tipper and I came home with money this time. Tipping was not deserved most of the week. They say they offer WIFI but you will will not have a connection ever. I would not return to the Barcelo.

Our stay was excellent as always, the service provided by Gustovo, Edwardo, Rudy, Edgar and Fausto second to none above our satisfaction and we look forward to seeing them every year. Teresa the activity leader was also a complete delight and we enjoyed the daily fun around the pool

Loved that every room is Ocean Front. The hotel is nice and it was clean. There were too many kids/ families, but it could have been the time of year we chose (last week of March). For what we paid we really have no complaints except for the kids. We were happy we could hang out at the roof top area.
