Puerto Vallarta

We really enjoyed many aspects of this resort. The ocean view from our room was incredible, the food was excellent and the location close to the Malecon was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made our stay even better. However, we did experience an unfortunate incident that future guests should be aware of. The beach chairs are set up in a roped-off area reserved for guests, though off-site vendors do pass by regularly. The ocean isn't ideal for swimming, so we decided to spend a bit of time under the thatched palapas enjoying the view. When we went for a quick swim in the pool, we felt comfortable leaving our bag under our chair since there was a lifeguard, security and waitstaff in the area. When we returned, our phones and other electronics were gone, and noticeably, no staff were nearby anymore. Overall, we liked the resort and would consider returning - but we want to remind other travellers not to let their guard down with personal belongings, even in areas that feel secure.

Overall we would have to say the stay here was a positive experience. We had an oceanfront room and the premium package. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach is our favorite place to be. It was lovely but there is a huge lack of loungers. The food was plentiful and delicious. The location was perfect. Close to the airport and the Marina. We would not return however because the resort was overcrowded for our first 4 days. There were many large loud families. Lack of places to relax at the pool and beach. Swim up pool bar overtaken by children. The occupancy seemed to get lower for our last 3 days which was very enjoyable. The premium package saved us waiting in line at the breakfast buffet as it gave us access to the a la cart Mole and Taco restaurant. This restaurant was one of the highlights for sure.

We had a great stay and a lot of fun as a family. The hotel's overall appearance could use a bit of TLC and is a little dated, but it was very clean and the staff are amazing. Our room itself was okay. We did have cockroaches in the room at the beginning of our stay, but the hotel fumigated right away and we didn't have any issues after that. The beds in our room (631) were quite firm and not the most comfortable, although my in-laws in room 658 said their beds were much softer. The location of room 631 was actually great for families. We were very close to the pool, which made it easy to quickly run back to the room with the kids. There isn't a ramp nearby, so technically you need to go around through the lobby to use the elevator, but we usually just carried our stroller up to save time. We were also close to the beach, which was perfect because we liked going there every morning. The beaches are beautiful. The water can be a bit rough, but it's still great to swim in. The sunsets were incredible every night. There's also a really fun bar at VI with a great 2-for-1 happy hour. The buffet was decent. The woman running the omelette station at breakfast is amazing. The Italian and French restaurants were both very good. The Japanese restaurant was just okay — there's no sushi and the food wasn't the best compared to the others. If you want restaurant reservations, you need to be on the app right at 9:00 a.m. or they book up immediately and you'll end up with a very late dinner around 9:00 p.m. The beach snack bar was actually really good — great burgers and fries. It's open from 12–4 and can get busy because the buffet closes between 11–1. Also, the breakfast buffet gets very crowded after 8:30 a.m., so if you're traveling with kids it's better to go earlier to avoid long lines. The water park is great and my son loved the slides (although they are very fast!). They also offer zip lining in the mornings, which is a really fun extra activity for kids. There's also a kids club and a baby club. The baby club is open to families for a couple hours in the morning (around 8–10, I believe), but outside of that time you can only leave your child there. It seemed very safe, and my son enjoyed it the first day, but he was the only child there at the time and didn't feel like the staff interacted with him very much, so he didn't want to go back. The kids club has daily activities with something different almost every hour, which is nice because you can drop in for things like face painting, cooking classes, crafts, movie time, and more. One of our favorite parts of the trip was the nightly entertainment across the street at Club Nitro. We were pleasantly surprised by the Fantasia show — my son absolutely loved it. They even had Paw Patrol characters and Disney characters. The shows start around 8:30–9:00 p.m., which is a bit late for little kids, but it was definitely worth staying up for. We came during spring break, and for the price we paid, it was really excellent value. We would definitely stay here again.

... we found a hotel that offered us everything we were looking for in a winter getaway. The staff were amazing, the food excellent, and the spa the best my husband and I have ever experienced. The hotel location is excellent, with a comfortable walk to the downtown area. We are eager to return next year!

This resort was listed as 4.5 or 5 star, it was not. The service provided was minimal at the concierge, buffet, and most restaurants on the resort. The public bathrooms didn't have locking doors and often the women's toilets did not flush, the food wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't great. Room was clean once we got it the alcohol used was about the only thing that was 4.5 star. If you are paying for and expecting a 3.5 star you will be satisfied.

Your food was good along with Adult pool area. Lounges on beach being all bunched together did not allow anyone to move to follow the shade. Furniture in lobby uncomfortable,,Hard,, Out front vary Busy, not comfortable going for a walk which is not your fault, we just could not get comfortable. As for our 2nd room weak AC and water pressure. Sorry for being so negative...

Our stay was amazing. We loved the resort and the people that worked there.

We had an excellent experience at this resort during our week-long getaway. Its location in the Hotel Zone of Puerto Vallarta made it very convenient and central to everything. The food was enjoyable overall, with a good variety between the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. Our only minor critique would be that the pork dishes were consistently overcooked. Aside from that, the dining experience was very satisfying. What truly stood out was the exceptional service throughout the resort. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. In particular, Antonio (“meep meep”), Cesar, and Carlos at the pool were outstanding, always making sure our drinks were topped up. Manuel and Miguel at the breakfast buffet made each morning special, even bringing Baileys for our coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return in the future.

This was honestly the worst resort experience I've ever had. We ended up checking out just two days into our trip and paying to move to another resort—that's how bad it was. When we arrived, we found blood on the sheets, the curtains, and even the floor, along with cockroaches in the room. There was no bottled water provided, and when I asked at the bar, they refused to give me a bottle and would only offer a glass. The front desk told me to call room service, but even after two days and several calls, no water ever showed up. The resort claims to have three pools and four restaurants, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Only two buffets were open, both serving the exact same food, and it was honestly some of the worst food I've ever had. Although 3 pools advertised, there was only one pool available, and it was overcrowded and dirty. What really pushed us over the edge was seeing raw sewage flowing down the walkway to the pool— the smell was unbearable. To top it off, our room door wouldn't lock. Maintenance came and essentially screwed it shut, but the screw fell out the moment we touched the door. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable stay—by far the worst vacation experience I've ever had.
