Riviera Nayarit

The hotel is in need of upgrades. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and the sheets are threadbare. There needs to be someone to stop serving people who are overly drunk and obnoxious.

My wife and I came back to Puerto Vallarta after 20 years. The overall services level has been stripped to the bone everywhere compared to 20 years ago, from the airport shuttle to the hotel. The hotel is at best 3 stars. If you expect to experience a luxury 4-5 stars hotel from the amenities to the room toiletry than this is not a hotel for you. 4.5 star hotel has no body lotions in the rooms, and the shampoo and the body wash gel in the room dispensers are of poor quality. We had to go in nearby mall to buy the toiletries. The room we stayed in was nice and clean with comfortable bed. The lady who clean our room did a very good job. We were leaving tip for a room service staff every morning. Food is average, but you are not going to be hungry. Special thanks to the lady who was making a great omelet. If you go later to eat, the food is usually cold. The beach is nice, but the ocean for the most part is not swimmable due to continuous waves. We enjoyed long walks along the beach though. Pool is fairly small and chairs are taken quite early. The staff is polite except for the lobby bar. During daytime they do not come to take orders at all. We did not let little things to bother us, after all we enjoyed our trip to Puerto Vallarta.

This was our 4th time to RDC. Overall, not a lot of changes, other than a high change in staff since our last visit. That said, the staff, as always, were amazing. They work so hard and are such beautiful people. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Food was good. We are not fussy eaters, so always found something. Everything was always very clean and tidy. Only a few negative points. Beach/pool chairs. My goodness. This whole towel thing with reserving chairs. We are supposed to be on holidays, not our reserving chairs. One suggestion, just get more umbrellas so there is more shade for people or make some pergola type things for more shade. I think this could help immensely. The other negative thing, the smoking on the beach and the utter disregard for others that do not smoke and leaving the mess of cigarette butts afterward. Come on people. Clean up after yourself. I would say those are the only 2 major complaints we would have. We will be back again.

The food was great! The service is top notch. But the kids activities and all the entertainment for the guest was hands down the best I've ever seen at an all inclusive resort. Hotel size was perfect. Hotel was clean and staff were extremely friendly.

Check in went well for all 3 rooms. Garden suite rooms were clean and spacious. Small resort footprint so very easy to get everywhere. Problems were the elevator being out for a whole day and we were on the 6th floor! (One person with bad knees) The key cards didn't always work and had to be redone. One room had the air conditioner freeze and then had to wait to thaw and find a proper temperature. All the Al a Carte restaurants were very good except without the premium package you had to line up every morning to reserve your spot. The buffet was quite sufficient and had a good variety of food. Fresh omelettes every morning with fresh fruit for us but lots or items available. Pleasant, helpful staff made our time there relaxing and stress free. Overall a 7 - 7.5 out of 10. We would return.

Very clean, but didn't feel all inclusive. Every time we turned around we felt like we were signing for something. It was very annoying. Ice cream isn't included for the kids. The Sky Bar is not included in the all inclusive package. If you're staying for 7 days, you only get to eat at the restaurants 2 times, other then that you have to eat at the Buffet, which isn't great. The pool side Pizza and food was quite good. The Mexican Restaurant and Japanese Restaurant were decent! The resort was very very clean. The kids loved the slides. It was decent. Not worth what we paid. Probably wouldnt return.

Thehotel building is old but the staff are nice and friendly.The show is very entertaining.

This trip was beyond our expectations. The staff were all excellent. Our room view was really pretty. We had upgraded to preferred and were glad that we did. The food was excellent everywhere we ate (Olio, Bordeaux, Portofino, Mezze). We had Oscar on his first night at Mezze and he was very sweet. The short rib was so great I ordered it twice and my hubby loved the mushroom ravioli at Portofino. Plus the snacks and lunch at Preferred Club, room service and poutine were awesome. Breakfast at Preferred Club was great every day. We honestly can't say anything negative about this resort. The beach, although not swimmable for beginners which we knew in advance (cool to watch the surfers) was super lovely to walk along both directions. Shout out to Danny the Pool Concierge who was super sweet and knowledgeable and all of the staff up there on the Rooftop; Dario and Julio! The pools and warm tubs on the Rooftop Preferred Club were a great place to hang out all day. We also enjoyed the music and shade in the afternoon down at the Barracuda Bar. At the Secrets Lobby Bar, Alex, Gabriella and the whole team were awesome! You can tell everyone here takes great pride in their jobs. Elizabeth our butler was helpful. We needed a couple things in our room and used the app….extremely responsive and helpful. We never felt the need to ‘save a lounger' or rush anywhere….it did not feel crowded at all and everyone had a smile on their face.

We enjoyed our time at this resort. Spent a lot of time on the beach and often saw whales breaching. Bucerias is within walking distance if you are in good shape, otherwise, taxis are reasonable - 140 pesos. Most of the evening entertainment was good, including the band that plays once a week at the poolside. The DJ music by the pool was good until the afternoon which became more suited to adolescents rather than seniors and families which seemed to be most of the clientele. Would have been nice to hear some Mexican music instead of the disco type, constant beat which got quite irritating. The concierge was very helpful with a medical issue that we had. Bruno in the lobby bar gave excellent service.

Amazing from arrival to departure. Excellent food, excellent service. Room was spacious. Whole resort was kept spotlessly clean.
