Terms of use of the Monarc.ca website

Monarc.ca is a division of Softvoyage Inc. with the mission to allow Canadian travelers to share their reviews on the experiences they have encountered in the properties they have visited. By reading and /or writing comments, visitors undertake to respect the terms of use of the site mentioned below.

Intellectual property

All of the content you provide to Monarc.ca, including text, photographs, images, illustrations, audio clips and video clips, is protected by copyright, trademark, and / or other intellectual property rights. Content is owned and managed by Monarc.ca.

For uploaded photos, you acknowledge that you are the owner of these photos and you understand that by publishing them on the site Monarc.ca, you give up the rights of your photos to Monarc.ca, you agree that you do not violate the rights of the people who may appear on these photos, and you authorize Monarc.ca to publish them on its site, its social networks and on the sites of its affiliates. Please note panoramic photos are not accepted and will not be published.

The content is solely for your personal and non-commercial use, meaning that the usage rights granted here are only for you. And you may not grant rights of access or use to other people or third parties.

Any modification of the content, its use on any other website or network computing environment, or for any purpose other than personal and non-commercial use, without our prior written consent violates our proprietary rights as well as those of the owners of such content, is forbidden.

By non-commercial use, we mean the use of the site for the purpose of reading reviews made by Canadian travelers and contributing reviews on the sites visited. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, publish, download, display, transmit, distribute, and / or exploit the content in any way (including by e-mail or other electronic means) for commercial use without our prior written consent.

User responsibility

You declare and guaranty that you will not use the content of the Monarc.ca website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited under these Terms, including the posting or transmission of any material or topic that could be deemed as threatening, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or rude.

We reserve the right to refuse the creation of an account to any person who violates these conditions.

Hyperlinks to other sites

Your communications, participation in promotions or your dealings with advertisers found on or through the Monarc.ca website, including payment and delivery of goods or related services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with these transactions are between you and the advertiser only. You agree that Monarc.ca assumes no liability in this regard, including any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of such transactions or as a result of such an advertiser's presence on the Monarc.ca website.

Limitation of liability

Monarc.ca is not a travel agency and does not sell travel packages; it is an informational website only. Each of the reviews you find on this site come from travellers who have purchased a package in one of the partner agencies of Monarc.ca. These reviews are authenticated and certified by Monarc.ca and could only have been submitted by way of an emailed nominative form.

The opinions expressed are strictly those of the authors and are solely a reflection of a personal experience. The average of all these experiences will allow you to judge for yourself the relevance of them.

The links found on the Monarc.ca site direct the user to outside sites operated by third parties. We assume no responsibility for the content of any site linked on Monarc.ca and/or Softvoyage Inc.

Monarc.ca cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information submitted by providers of tourism services. All information given on the Monarc.ca site is therefore provided in good faith, as is. It may contain inaccuracies, omissions, deficiencies and/or outdated information.
