Punta Cana

Welcome to paradise! We loved everything! Travelled with 4 adults and 1 child. We ate well (all food including buffet was delicious, and bonus no need to reserve the restaurants as there was always room), used all the pools (lazy river 9/10 as it was missing a bit of current on one end) and beach (no seaweed!), and attended the nightly shows which were super entertaining. My daughter loved the kids club and even remembers the names of the awesome women who organized the activities: thank you Cuteness, Rainbow, Moana and Candy :) And thank you Yanelys who was our point person for our allergies which were handled very well! Rooms and public restroom and grounds were spotless. Lots of staff available to help at all times. We were well taken care of - can't wait to go back! Thank you Dreams Macao

From the moment we arrived at the resort everyone was helpful and made check in so easy. The grounds of the resort were always beautiful and tidy, beautiful pools for whatever mood or activity you're interested in as well as a fun waterpark! Gorgeous white sand beach and turquoise water for swimming. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed, housekeeping was great, same with room service. The staff were all so friendly and fun and actually get to know you a bit while you're there. The food was quite good at the buffet and even better at the à la cart restaurants, and it was great not to have to make reservations. We took our kids ages 11 and 14 and they had a great time and were always busy. Honestly the trip couldn't have been better for us.

Stayed at the Wyndham Alltra from April 23 to the 30th, 2026 travelling with 4 other adults and two children age 3 and 6. Everyone had a great time and truly enjoyed the resort. The food was very good, pools are impressive also very clean and the staff quite friendly/helpful. The vegetation on the resort is meticulously maintained and beyond beautiful. During our stay an issue surfaced regarding noise late at night from another room, this was well beyond what can reasonably be expected at a resort. The next morning I brought up my concern to the resort management (Derluis), despite being a very busy person Derluis took the time to listen to my concern attentively and in a very professional manner. Derluis completely resolved the situation in a timely and effective manner, frankly exceeding my expectations. We have travelled a lot and have gone to many other resorts, the level of attention and professionalism demonstrated to my concern were impressive. We all look forward to our next stay at the Wyndham.

Stayed at the Ambar - great location and close to beach and restaurants. Overall enjoyed the great weather (late February). Mostly poor staff "attitudes" - bothered to do their jobs - not very proactive. Food seemed to be the same options over 10 days.

Overall it was a great vacation. A couple of issues with housekeeping and front desk.

Loved this resort! Very clean, staff were all friendly, beaches and pools were perfect! Food was plentiful and could always find something delicious to eat and any of the two buffets. Definitely will be back and hopefully longer next time.

Awesome Hotel and very good service from the front desk and pool waitress. Natanael at the front desk is my “brother” he helped us with any questions we had during our stay and took good care of us. Rosanna Sabano is a waitress at the pool and she was on top of it she would come around and ask us if we wanted another drink before our other one was even empty so we were always topped off and had a good time! The rooms were clean but the bathroom specifically the shower area would need some TLC as the little shelf to put your shampoo and body wash and other personal things was falling off and not properly installed to the wall. Other than that the room and bathroom are great and the water pressure is good and be careful with the hot water because it is very hot! The buffet and food was fantastic there's something for everyone even for picky eaters the pasta bar is awesome and both cooks I had during my stay were great! The pizza is also very good I also can't forget the chicken fingers! Their steaks, pork, and chicken were also really yummy! The only thing I must criticize is the service at the buffet on the waiter and waitress side of things we tipped every time we went to the buffet and it didn't change the service we received it seemed like they were not motivated to clear our table or top off our glasses with either pop or water we had a difficult time to find a table for 4 that was all setup most times they weren't and had to go ask for silver wear and napkins. Other than that everything was awesome and this was my second time coming to this hotel/resort and I will be going back again! Strongly recommended.

The Iberorstar Domincana resort marketed itself as get 2 for the price of 1 with access to adjoining resort "Iberostar Punta Cana". That was very misleading as the Iberostar Punta Cana was just another building with rooms and they both shared the same amenities. ie. pool, restaurants, etc.

Overall we had a really nice family vacation. The weather was perfect, the beach was clean and the pools were also clean and well maintained. We will not return.

My husband and I spent the week with my son, his family and two other couples. We all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We spent our days at the quieter pool which was great for cooling off and floating around to chat. The foam party was amazing and we had so much fun. The food was very good everywhere we went. Breakfast at the buffet, lunches at the food wagon or sports bar and evening meals at the restaurants. The service at the restaurants was excellent and so much food! The drinks were well made and you can request less sweet and little alcohol. We spent one day at the beach which is great but preferred the pool as it was easier to get in often to cool off. We also enjoyed the white beach party. The lighting was amazing. The first half hour of music was for the kids and then adult music. One complaint we had was that we couldn't change our larger peso bills. We went a couple of times a day and no one had smaller bills to break down the larger ones from the bank. Most people used U.S. money but if you're from Canada it is such a loss in exchange. The only other complaint is that we are older and our room was right beside the party pool. It was very loud music and entertainment going all day and usually till 10pm week nights and 11pm on Saturday night. There were 2 nights that it was quiet after 6pm because of the beach party and other events elsewhere. We could not come back to our room and rest before supper because of it. We loved the resort and will definitely request a room away from the party pool next time. Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed our vacation and will definitely be back! It is a smaller resort and everything is handy. Always somewhere to eat and get drinks.
