Puerto Vallarta

We had not been to the Hyatt Ziva for six years and saw a few changes such as a new restaurant called Tamari which is Asian. Delicious food and you can sit at Teppanyaki table and they cook your food right infront of you. There were new stores to shop at for clothing, swimsuits, jewellery and a pharmacy. We stayed in the club tower and the rooms were beautiful and well appointed. Large balconies to relax on with your morning coffee. Downstairs in the club tower is a bar and a place where you can get food and drinks. The beach is beautiful and the Hyatt is the only hotel on the beach. Food was fresh and delicious at all the restaurants. The Blaze has a wonderful spot right on the water. The staff were so welcoming and kind. They made our vacation the best one yet.

We really enjoyed many aspects of this resort. The ocean view from our room was incredible, the food was excellent and the location close to the Malecon was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made our stay even better. However, we did experience an unfortunate incident that future guests should be aware of. The beach chairs are set up in a roped-off area reserved for guests, though off-site vendors do pass by regularly. The ocean isn't ideal for swimming, so we decided to spend a bit of time under the thatched palapas enjoying the view. When we went for a quick swim in the pool, we felt comfortable leaving our bag under our chair since there was a lifeguard, security and waitstaff in the area. When we returned, our phones and other electronics were gone, and noticeably, no staff were nearby anymore. Overall, we liked the resort and would consider returning - but we want to remind other travellers not to let their guard down with personal belongings, even in areas that feel secure.

Third time at this resort, and will be back again! Location is great. Enjoyed long walks down the beach. Close to 2 malls, and a 45 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride to the Malecon. Good food choices at 3 buffets, and 2 al la carte. Lovely adult area with 2 pools, and snack bar. Lots of daily activities. This year enjoyed special musicians, bbqs, mimosa and waffle morning, sunset cocktails. Resort is clean, comfortable, and the staff is phenomenal.

A beautiful resort with comfortable accommodations, plenty of activity options, nightly entertainment, a beautiful pool area and incredible staff who know your name. We just enjoyed a 1 week stay and were so impressed with the efforts of all the staff. Yenis arranged a special surprise treat for my birthday, she and the activities team (Allejandra, Eukene, Sofia, Anna and too many others to name) work so hard to ensure every guest enjoys their stay. We tried mixology class, aqua aerobics, bracelet making, melia challenge, archery, blackjack lesson...so much to do! The gym was also well equipped for a workout. Job our Concierge also arranged a birthday surprise in my room and arranged dinner reservations. Teresa was our favourite server in the Mosaic Restaurant who greeted us each evening and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. The nightly shows were so impresssive - magic show, circus, Mexican dancers, casino night and my favourite the beach party where the awesome MC and the night show team had me dancing with them for an hour! The bar team also work hard preparing drinks for all the guests. There is so much to say about our stay...I definitely recommend staying at Melia Puerto Vallarta!

second time to a Dreams. this one was very noisy , didn't realize the Secret's for 55 and older was a thing would of gone there. other wise the staff were excellent, love the all inclusive.

This hotel is great for families! Our kids loved the pools, the beach is nice and sandy for the most part so you can go in the ocean without water shoes. The buffet was great everyday and the restaurants were also great food and service! We tried all three and enjoyed all of them!

Rooms: Rooms are good and well maintained. We were on the 8th floor. They stop your mini fridge with water and drinks daily. The elevators can be a bit slow at times but the doors close on you quick so be aware especially if you have kids. Store in the hotels: Sells a variety of pool floats, toys etc and some medications as well as sunblock. $20 us currency for a bottle of sunblock. Tips: Tips are always welcome and most tip in US dollars or Pesos. If you have large bills the front desk will exchange them for you if they have currency - a bit of a shortage on 20pesos at the moment OWest poke bowl restaurant for adults only. Only 6 tables here and food is served from 1.15pm so u must be here by 1 to get seating. The view is beautiful and the drinks are the best at this bar. We enjoyed the prawn poke bowl the best. This restaurant also has an infinity pool Maintenance and service: one thing we appreciated about this place was the prompt service. When the safe/shower water pressure/bed situation wasn't up to par they worked on it very quickly. We had booked a room with double beds but ended up with a king which didn't work for 4 of us so they brought up an extra twin bed for us. The rooms are big enough to accommodate this. Construction: construction is taking place and will take place for another year or so and if you have a balcony it will probably face the construction site so just be aware. Although it is noisy at times it never bothered us. Pools: water temperature in the pool was great especially the one closer to the beach - nice and warm. If you have experienced the Krystal grand in Nuevo Vallarta these pools are a bit smaller. Lots of activities at the pool area daily where you can win bottles of tequila and wine etc. La Catrina: excellent Mexican food. You have to make a reservation online starting at 10am the day of the booking. You can also make a reservation at guest services however the lineups are long. Shows: Shows are great especially the water/circus show at the pool The mexican show was fantastic and the Michael Jackson show so entertaining. We have stayed at 2 Krystal grand hotels now and this one definitely has the better entertainment. Entertainers are very talented. The kids loved them too. Only recommendation since we have stayed at other Krystal grand hotels 1. The snack bar should have fish tacos - didn't have them here. 2. Didn't find any guacamole this entire trip :( 3. Entertainment at this Krystal was fantastic! 4. Rooms on the 8th floor are the best?

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and food was good. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Our stay was amazing. We loved the resort and the people that worked there.

The only good thing I can say was our room was cleaned daily. The buffet was horrible, they ran it of food several times, sat us at dirty tables or even give our table away to another group of people. For a family resort there was absolutely nothing to do for adults at night. They had magic shows, and movies for the children but nothing for adults. Will not go back and will recommend going to any resort but that one!!
