Coral Blue in Huatulco

Coral blue is a new “resort” style but in an older body. It recently changed to the all inclusive model and they are not fully prepared for visitors from other countries. Many of the usual amenities are difficult to get (such as bottled water) but the staff are dedicated to servicing the clientele to the best of their ability and resources. The hotel and restaurant/pool area are quite separated by an extremely long ramp that traverses through the grounds. The hotel is atop a hill and the area where food, coffee, drinks, leisure happen are at the bottom. [Details]

The strong points

Staff are friendly and dedicated to assisting customers. View and beach are beautiful. Food is available most of the day. Rooms are well maintained. Beds are comfortable. Food was acceptable and some days better than that. Shuttle to restaurant available

The weak points

WiFi was scarce. No water bottles but one refillable in room. No cafe/beverage service near the hotel lobby despite area existed. No umbrellas for shade. Limited shade on beach. Beverages were sub par and inconsistent. Little entertainment. Pool state.
