Breathless Cancun Soul Resort And Spa

The target demographic for this resort is mid-fourties decent income, likes luxury and has the money to afford it. A bit of a foodie.
The reviews about the food are polarized likely due to expectations. My partner and i are reasonably well travelled and foodies. The food was great. If you are expecting the usual americanized food offerings you will be disappointed. The Mexican restaurant doesn't serve tacos but they do have fantastic food. The Italian restaurant does bruschetta the Italian way etc.
Drinks were good. Entertainment was equal opportunity for the sexes but rather casual. Typically some dancers etc. the hotel is not setup for evening entertainment if it rains as it is all outdoor on the terrace. The pool parties during the day are where it is at!
Skip the stupid vacation club pitch and if like us they call you at 930am and threaten you with morning calls till you go report them to the front desk.

I was surprised by the quality of the resort, rooms, and service. Honestly I expect problems when we travel to resort locations, and everything was fine.

Check-In was slow. We didn't have to wait in line, but they took forever clicking on their computer when we checked in. Obviously they knew we were coming, so that could use some improvement, but honestly that was it. Everything else to well above expectations. Nicely Done!! [Details]
