Princess Senses The Mangrove

We are excited and looking forward to going to the resort being that it was new and had some interesting features like swim out rooms which we had booked. Unfortunately, when we arrived, they tried booking us in a non- swim out room and when we advised them of our booking, they said they didn't have any available and had overbooked the rooms. We were booked in a standard room, which was considerably less money than what we had paid for the room we should've been in. They did offer us some other options and did settle on spa treatments however never did really recoup our full $800 unfortunately. More confusing part was it certainly appeared that there was a lot of empty swim up rooms on the side we were on. We got the feeling that maybe they were understaffed not overbooked as they were hiring new staff throughout the week. This also became apparent at some restaurants as we found out that some restaurants close one day a week and also some had very slow service. One night it took us almost 3 hours to have our complete meal which resulted in missing one of the evening shows. There are some good things about the resorts like excellent staff for things like exercises and poolside games. They were very entertaining and fun. The evening shows were well done with talented people performing. Overall, the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful. The rooms are very nice with excellent views. It is a very large resort and is continuing to expand with the casino so once it's up and running fully, I'm not sure what things would be like there if it was truly busy. It was not busy at all the week we were there yet they seem to struggle with some things. Although there is a adult only section there is also a section for families so if you truly want an adult only experience, this may not be the place for you. [Details]
