Great Family Vacation

, Komoka, ON
2025-02-22
We enjoyed our time at this resort. The resort is provides a good mix of all the amenities associated with such a large property as well as providing a sense of intimacy through all the pools and beach area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with ours having an awesome view of the water. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Stepping up to the platinum level was well worth it because of the amazing butler service, the upgraded room, and the platinum lounge. [Details]

The strong points
Our room came with butler service and our butler Dennis was the best we have ever had on any of our vacations. He was professional and personable, anticipating our needs before we asked. He made our vacation hassle and stress free.
The weak points
There was some inconsistency with what platinum guests had access to at the various bars on the property. The beach area for the adults section was much larger than the beach area for the families which seems opposite to what makes sense.
Sanitary measures
Rooms were well cleaned each day. All of the restaurants were clean and I observed staff regularly checking food temperatures.

Jamaica Princess Grand

, Cote St Luc, QC

The hotel was amazing, since it was new everything was perfect. The rooms were cleaned everyday the food was delish. I would definitely return to the hotel. Since the beach is man made, it is not as nice as Negril's beach but very satisfactory. The weather was great, very windy.
The beach was fine, the only problem being was at one part of the beach was the Princess Grand and the other part was the Princess Mangrove (adults only). I was stopped and told I was not to walk on the beach since I was staying at the Grand and not the Mangrove. We told them that we are not going inside of the other hotel, just walking along the beach. We complained a few times. one day they let us another day not. That was the only downfall, especially coming from cold and snow you just want to enjoy and walk along the beach.
As well when you see the hotel advertised in Negril it is not, it is in Green Island, just outside of Negril. [Details]

The strong points
hotel was beautiful, staff was amazing, Miquel and Andrew were great aquacise teachers, wonderful coffee shop opened 24hrs Chuddian was amazing. All in all a wonderful resort
The weak points
the only weak point was there rule about the beach walking from one end to the other, between the adults only and the other side, especially since the beach is not like the one in Negril
