A Serene Escape Amidst the Waves and Stars
As a first-time visitor to Cabo San Lucas region, I was happy to stay at a resort that can only be described as unique. The meticulously maintained landscape, sprawling across the vast property, left a positive impression. The promise of unobstructed ocean views was fulfilled. There's a certain magic in falling asleep to the rhythmic lullaby of the waves—that natural luxury that was ours to enjoy every night. From the expansive patio of Section 19, the panoramic vista of water meeting sky offered a perfect backdrop for both daydreaming and star gazing late night. While the rooms may carry a "vintage" charm, they hold a character all their own. The dual restrooms were a bonus for our visit, ensuring convenience and privacy for both Mother and Daughter. Admittedly, the beds were on the firmer side, but the staff's prompt response to our request for mattress pads was commendable. Pillow connoisseurs might find the offerings a tad basic, so tempering expectations is wise. However, the air conditioning's efficiency and the surprisingly strong water pressure were modern comforts that did not disappoint. Bring your own shampoo if you are fussy. Nil conditioner. Room cleanliness, though, was somewhat inconsistent across the three rooms we viewed, with varying attention to detail with basic dusting (woodwork and shutters) and wall mark removal. Yet, the linens remained fresh and inviting. There's the option to have the room "refreshed" with a friendly scent spray if the space smells off to you. Call: 6000 for assistance. For those facing accessibility challenges, the resort's layout may seem daunting at first glance. The carts, while fun for some, could pose a difficulty for others. As enthusiasts of leisurely strolls, we often chose to explore the grounds on foot, embracing the resort's natural beauty at our own pace. The private beach, a tranquil retreat, reminded us of nature's awesome power with its non-swimmable waters. But fear not, for the well-maintained pools provided a delightful alternative for a refreshing dip, each with its own atmosphere, from serene to lively at the popular Sky Pool. Dining was a pleasure, with a diverse selection of quality options. The Market's innovative concept (smart to offer a Food Hall) and the Golf Clubhouse Restaurant, along with the sister hotel's downtown offerings, kept our culinary journey interesting throughout the week. A special mention must go to the fresh tacos from La Choya's Taco “Van”—a must-try. In town shuttle services were easily accessible- Don't forget to book your spot in advance! Need a cart to collect you at a certain time? Simply pick up the phone to request. We never had to wait mor than 5mins. Many will enjoy the friendly vibe / karaoke nights at The AFTER. The morning stretching classes offered a relaxed start to the day, though the activity location varied daily—no biggie. Shout-out to the staff. Ops cleanliness was a consistent theme, with public restrooms and various dining spots were always clean. My only wish would be hand sanitizers at the main buffet La Nao. If they were out, I did not spot. Other areas provided. In conclusion, our visit was pleasing, marked by unexpected delights like evening fireworks (private wedding's on the beach) that added a touch of wonder to our first stay. This resort, with its blend of charm and great customer service, promises a memorable escape for all who visit.
