I first want to start by saying the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is absolutely stunning. The property is grand, modern, and luxurious — truly one of the most visually impressive resorts I've stayed at. I've traveled quite a bit, and this one stands out for its breathtaking architecture and elegant atmosphere.
We booked a private car service instead of the shuttle since the hotel is quite far from the airport. Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted and the check-in process was smooth.
However, our initial room experience was very disappointing. The room was small and not properly cleaned — the pullout sofa had blood stains and no mattress protector, so my daughter couldn't sleep on it. Our view faced a construction site where loud banging started as early as 5 AM. To make matters worse, we later discovered the room was infested with ants, especially in the bathroom and on the counters.
We reported it immediately to the front desk, who apologized and said they would try to move us. Unfortunately, the process took until 4 PM the next day, which meant we lost almost an entire day waiting to be relocated instead of enjoying the resort.
Once we finally moved rooms, everything changed. The new room was spotless, spacious, and beautiful, exactly what we had hoped for from the start. I have to give special thanks to Diana, the Front Desk Manager, who went above and beyond to make things right. Her kindness and professionalism really turned the situation around for us.
We had $1400 in resort credits, which we decided to spend mostly at the Rock Spa — and it did not disappoint. The spa is absolutely breathtaking — huge, elegant, and serene, easily one of the most luxurious spas I've ever seen. I'm currently five months pregnant and had a prenatal massage with Mely, and I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever had in my life. My husband booked the “Four Hands Massage,” where two therapists work simultaneously — he said it was incredible. We both also had facials; they were just okay (not amazing), but the overall spa experience itself was worth it — peaceful, pampering, and beautiful.
Because I'm pregnant and we have a small toddler, we chose not to do excursions and instead spent our days enjoying everything the resort had to offer — and honestly, there's so much to do right on-site. From poolside Zumba and live entertainment to a fantastic kids' club and daily themed activities, there was always something happening from morning till evening.
Every day at the main pool, there were fun activities — dance parties, games, and music — and in the evenings, the theatre shows were top-notch. We especially enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute show, the Elvis tribute, and the Mexican Independence Day celebration with a mariachi band. My daughter loved the kids' events, where they had arts and crafts, kids' music, and dance time. Watching her light up with excitement and joy was truly priceless.
Overall, I found Hard Rock Los Cabos to be an incredible family-friendly resort — luxurious yet relaxed, lively yet not overwhelming. Despite the rocky start with our room, the staff's efforts, the beautiful upgrade, the amazing spa experience, and all the fun activities made it a memorable trip.
I'd definitely recommend this resort — just make sure to double-check your room upon check-in. Once settled, it's an unforgettable experience for families, couples, and anyone looking to unwind in luxury. [Details]

The strong points
Staff. We went to all the pools and the staff at the adult pool (J.P., Marcos and Christian) were by far the most attentive and cordial. Way to go guys!
The weak points
Water was not hot for showers
Could hear the neighbours (very well)
It was spring break unfortunately. I don't think 18 should be classified as adult. Kids were loud and rude in the hot tubs.
