We stayed at Jewel Grande for a wonderful week in March 2024. Our first room was not the greatest (building A, room was close to the highway and was loud, no ocean view), however we were moved to Building B the next day and it was a huge improvement with a great view of the ocean. The 2 bedroom units are large, clean, with good A/C. Our butlers, Aston & Denton were fantastic! They were quick to reply to our questions and were resourceful as well. The strong points
Food, drinks, service, rooms, butlers & bartenders!
The weak points
Cabanas were fine - but could use an upgrade to include seating and not just a mattress. There was a "funky" smell on the backside of the second pool, not sure what it was.
Sanitary measures
General use washrooms were cleaned consistently, the resort was in excellent shape.

We loved our time at the Jewel Grande. We had a two bedroom, ocean view room. The room also came with a butler.

We chose this hotel because it offered two separate rooms as our adult daughter joined us. Both bedrooms has their own spacious bathrooms. There was also a third bathroom in the living space which consisted of a sofa area, table and kitchen. The room also came with a washer and dryer which ended up coming in hand.

The staff were absolutely amazing - from our housekeeper to our butler. Our room was spotless every day.

The strong points
The number of restaurants available allowed us to chose a different cuisine every night. The location was perfect -- not to far from the airport. The beach had lots of chairs available and we never had to rush down early to reserve chairs.
The weak points
The stairs were many-our room was in building B. We did the stairs several times a day. Someone who has mobility issues may find it difficult.
Sanitary measures
Our room was always immaculate. The restaurants were clean and tables were cleaned off in a timely manner. Beach cups could be better -- they were either clear or red plastic.

Awesome Experience at the Jewel Grande Montego Bay

We arrived in Jamaica on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 at the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort to be warmly by Front Desk Supervisor - Andrew who started our vacation off with a bang by upgrading one of our rooms. He was able to accommodate our party of 6 with adjoining rooms - A504 and A505. One a 2 bedroom suite and the other a 1 bedroom suite. Suffice to say, those accommodations were first class all the way. In addition, to our first class rooms, we had exemplary service from several employees on the resort from the Entertainment staff of Tafari, Sashane and Javan who made sure we were engaged and involved in almost every activity that was available throughout our stay, to the bar and wait staff of Odane, Maxine, Tracy-Ann, Paul, Althea, Jodi-Kay and Nicolene who made our stay from a food perspective a truly awesome one. The food was really really good everywhere we went except for the Seafood Restaurant which although very tasty took way too long (service wise). Other than that minor blip, we couldn't have celebrated a better 60th for my mother. [Details]

Service / Rooms / Ambiance - specifically the service from several of the staff including Entertainment staff - Tafari, Sashane & Javan, Wait/Bar/Server staff - Odane, Maxine, Althea, Jodi-Kay, Nicolene, Tracy-Ann and Front Desk Supervisor - Andrew.
The weak points
There wasn't much in terms of weak points though one minor blip was the service time at the Seafood Restaurant - Waves was inordinately long. Other than that, even the minor issues we reported were promptly rectified.

Beautiful condo style rooms

I stayed in a 2 bedroom, oceanfront suite. It was condo style and absolutely huge. Some of my friends were in gardenview rooms, and there was a lot of road noise, so I would recommend oceanfront. The food was very good, especially the à la carte dinner. [Details]
