We stayed at The Fives in Puerto Morelos as a family of four from August 4th to 11th, booking two rooms for our stay. The weather was perfect, with sunny days and soft, cool sand that made beach time enjoyable.
The hotel had some nice features, like the rooms, multiple pools, and a balcony with a great view. However, we encountered a few issues during our stay. Upon arrival, there was confusion over what constituted a "partial view" for both of our rooms, though it was resolved by the next day. Also, there were no double beds which caused on issue. Construction noise was disruptive at times, and one of the elevators was out of order for part of our stay.
As a family, we had an activity-packed week, including swimming in the ocean, snorkeling at the reef, and visiting Tulum and a cenote, which was definitely a highlight. We also enjoyed a fun deep-sea fishing trip.
On the downside, the food left something to be desired, and there was no sushi on Friday as advertised. We also experienced an uncomfortable hard sales pitch. The shower temperature was inconsistent, and while the bikes were available, they didn't add much to the experience. To top it off, we encountered billing issues at checkout, which added frustration to an otherwise enjoyable week.
Overall, it was a good family stay with beautiful weather, great pools, and fun activities, but a few frustrations did detract from the overall experience. [Details]

Adam and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and vacation at The Fives Oceanfront in Puerto Moreles! We arrived pretty late at night but the staff were very attentive and welcoming. We don't like lineups and crowds and needed an adult only vibe, so picking out the perfect resort led me to this one! Great food was also an essential request and that certainly was given! We enjoyed the beef tacos, “the Tracie special pasta” (spicey bolognaise), endless guac and chips, the burger on the beach were some of our favourite meals! We ALWAYS had great service thanks to Jorge (Lobby bartender mastermind), Jorge (“George” RoMarley beach bar), and Hector (Al Mare). The energy goes up when William enters, you have to attend some of his daily activities like his beach walk tour and beach volleyball games! They even have daily staff raking the seaweed so you can enjoy the beach all day long. We made amazing friends, memories and will hold a special place in our hearts as we also got engaged there too. Cheers xxo Adam and Morgan [Details]
