Definitely Not Adult Only

Very disappointing as we booked for an adult only experience. This is a family resort with a very small portion adult only. It is not an All Inclusive! One pool with no bar service or entertainment. Two restaurants one was a terrace are Adult Only. This is a Family Resort and very class conscious of what entitles you to by colour of your bracelet. Gold is Privilege.. we had silver for the price we paid. To upgrade to the gold to get a better service was 170 US a night over the price we paid. The gold gets you premiere drinks, a butler to reserve your dinners and reserve your lounge chairs. A special restaurant that is only allowed for members. Pressure from day one to buy into membership to get the Gold Bracelet.
The entertainment was catered to families as it was over the holidays.
The food in the buffet was hit or miss. Many times food not cooked and cold. [Details]

The strong points

The staff are very hard working and very friendly. Our room was remodelled and impressive .

The weak points

Some areas in the resort need updating and cleaning. The elevator we used was dirty and lights needed replacing . Travel Agent representing us was not very friendly or accommodating.

This hotel was nice but I don't believe it's a 4 .5 star hotel. Too many little issues regarding the resort that make the experience forgettable. [Details]

The strong points

Ricardo at the El Beso Pool was an amazing waiter. The staff took care of you. Food was great with some exceptions.

The weak points

The entertainment was not impressive. There was nothing to do after 10:30pm. The beach was okay but not maintained. A lot of raccoons that come up to you for food and some trying to get into the open resto areas
