My Mazatlan Vacation (El Cid El Morrow All Incl.)

Our stay in the Tower suite was incredible.. Great staff! No hidden fees other than wi-fi & indoor parking which was not optional however, still worth the $1,750.00 pesos = $20.00 CAN/Day more or less. Awesome views and extremely accommodating. Loved every moment of our stay! [Details]

The strong points

The people! The pools! The bars! The food! The gorgeous country & the security we felt during every moment of our stay!

The weak points

Expensive excursions but apparently a must for the fisherman! MUST make reservations in advance & please don't forget to tip as everyone works so very hard to accommodate!

Did not request room service at any point of our stay as for our needs, was not required however, when required. the response was quick and efficient. Still left a sizable tip for maid service upon departure.

The strong points

Beautiful location, friendly staff, modern hotel, great restaurants.

The weak points

Hotel gets quiet very early at night, if you want to stay up past 10pm there is only one active bar and it was indoors and not very well setup.

Sanitary measures

The staff all wore masks, even when outdoors, even when no one was around. Lots of cleaning on going.

We managed to get an ocean view room on the ninth floor. The view was amazing. This resort is maintained very well though expect to see older decor. The beach is beautiful but expect to be approached by peddlers now and then. Internet will cost you extra. This is a relaxing resort. The drinks are weak and the buffet is just ok but it's a beautiful way to spend a week. There are several shops with jewelry and souvenirs and a coffee shop where you can get your Americano fix and check your email if you need to. Overall we would recommend and would love to go back again! [Details]

The strong points

Friendly staff, ocean view, a la carte restaurants had good food, room was cleaned daily, resort is quite large, felt very safe

The weak points

Beach peddlers are plentiful. There's a nightclub across the street that can be heard until 4 am on the weekends. Pool construction was happening in the middle of the day. All restaurants were not open each night for dinner. Reservations needed.

I didn't run across any surly hotel employees. Everyone was polite,helpful and courteous. The food well not exceptional was always well cooked with a reasonable variety of choices and I never left the table feeling that I had been hard done by. The room was very nice and unlike some others never had any trouble with the hot water. The complaint that I have is about charging for the in room coffee and water. It seems rather small minded in an all inclusive resort. The excursions by Pronata-excuse the misspelling- are reasonably priced and hosted by pleasant and knowledgeable guides.
