Bien qu'étant à Cuba, je peux dire que je me suis senti chez moi, le personnel est de première classe avec un excellent service 5 étoiles, les plages sont les plus belles qu'il m'ait été donné de voir comme un paradis dans les Caraïbes. J'aimerais tout particulièrement mentionner l'équipe du service clientèle qui a fait de mes vacances un souvenir inoubliable, en particulier Maria, Marisol, Sandro et Yeni. Mes amis et moi sommes allés en vacances à Cuba et avons choisi l'hôtel Valentin Perla Blanca. C'est un bel hôtel avec un hall spacieux et des plages incroyables au sable blanc et aux eaux transparentes. Je reviens récemment de mes vacances à Cuba pour lesquelles j'ai choisi l'hôtel Valentin Perla Blanca à Cayo Santa Maria, quelques bons amis me l'ont recommandé et la vérité est qu'ils ne s'y sont pas trompés. L'hôtel est magnifique, je suis tombé amoureux dès que j'ai vu le lobby. Les plages sont belles et cristallines, le personnel est super sympa et très attentionné. Malgré la pénurie, tout le personnel s'efforce d'offrir le meilleur service possible. Le personnel des relations publiques a toujours été attentif à nos besoins, en particulier Yeny et Sandro, qui nous ont aidés de toutes les manières possibles. Les employés de l'hôtel sont très accueillant et sympathique.

La direction n'est pas dû tout à l'écoute de ses clients et refuse de s'excuser pour leurs erreurs.

Sécurité des chambres à revoir, très grosse lacune de se côté, d'autres clients peuvent ouvrir votre porte avec leur carte et la direction ne s'excusera pas si cela vous arrive…

Intrusion de certain employés(tentative de vol ??)

Belle grandeur de site, belle végétation bien entrenue, les jardiniers sont omniprésents.

Beaucoup de moustiques les matins et en fin d'après lorsque le vent n'est pas présent.

L'entretien ménager totalement absente, les toilettes publiques sont tout simplement insalubres. Aucun papier de toilette et savon.

A la piscine, aucun ménage en 1 semaine.
Il n'y a plus d'urinoir, 2 toilettes avec couvercle cassé, le miroir était tellement sale que l'on avait de la misère à ce voir dedans.

Bar: malheureusement plusieurs cocktails non disponible certain du au manque d'ingrédients ou de boissons, bière absente 4 jours

Chambre: Grandeur et dispositon dans les standard.
Propreté tout juste passable.
Les matelas sont à remplacer, totalement défoncé, inconfortable, on sent les ressorts.
Toilette mal fixé au sol et couvercle non fixé.
Moisissures sur les murs de la chambre de bain.
L'aspiration ne fonctionnait pas.
Rationnement du papier de toilette et aucun mouchoir.

Nourriture : c'est Cuba. Il y a quasiment toujours quelques choses à manger ( le snack 24hr n'a pas toujours de nourriture)
Poisson, poulet et porc assaisonné quasiment pareils…
Il y a des manques d'aliments de jour en jour.

Le vin, lorsqu'il en a, c'est pas buvable, apporter le votre.

Belle grande piscine, interessante lorsqu'elle n'est pas verte…

Le wifi, très peu utilisé, mais fonctionnel a la piscine, lobby, chambre, buffet.

LA PLAGE : incompréhension totale…
Il n'y a qu'un infime partie de celle-ci (20% peut-être) qui est belle sans plus par contre.
Il n'y a pas le palapas dans cette section mais, de grande section de toit sur 200pied environ et il entassent les gens en dessous. La plage a marée haute doit avoir que 40pied en largeur et vraiment pas impressionnante.

Aucun entretien au tracteur ou rateau de celle-ci n'est effectué.

Pour le reste de la plage c'est un cimetière de vieille chaise brisée, algues…

L'eau par contre est vraiment belle.

Honnêtement c'est mon pire ressort sur 10 de visités. J'ai vu des 3 étoiles beaucoup mieux que celui-ci sur tout les aspects.

Iv been to this resort many times. Had amazing times. however this time was pretty awful. half of the resort was closed. nothing was available. I was there for 15 days and the buffet was only opened maybe 4 times. leaving us with the snack bar and alicart only. snack bar barely had anything to chose from. alicart got repetitive. seen people literally freaking out due to this. we lost power at the resort 3 days. 4 days left with no water at all to shower or anything. and about 9 days of no hot water throughout my 2 week stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very pleasant. The food was great. The only problem we did have were the bugs that came out at night and bit us. We had one nice couple that gave us some bug spray which helped out some but we still came home with several bites all over our arms and legs. [Details]

My wife and I stayed here in the month of August 2023 for a week. We immediately thought we had made the best choice of the hotels located in the area of Cayo Santa Maria. The resort is grand, the grounds are well kept, friendly staff and excellent amenities. We would definitely recommend to friends or visit again.

If you're looking to escape a busy lifestyle, and relax while being catered to, Valentín Perla Blanca will not disappoint. Being an adult only resort it was nice for us to get a break from being around kids (we have 3). When you visit the beach which is a very short walk, you'll be greeted by staff who are ready to help you have a great time. There's a bar and BBQ grill for drinks and delicious sandwiches - a choice of pulled pork, hot dogs, and chicken. The beach and sea water is the best we've experienced so far, clear and warm blue water, soft sand, ideal for Instagram pictures. Shaded lounge chairs, and varies activities are available.

We were pleased with our room, located on the ground floor with a view of the pool and bar. It was clean, air conditioned, and spacious with King bed, couch, fridge, table/chair, closet, iron, hairdryer, tv, dresser, full length mirror.

Our favourite place to hang out was the lobby, for drinks, relaxation, coffee/tea, and entertainment in the evening. It is also the best place to connect to wifi.

Tips: Bring toilet roll if you prefer soft tissue. If you're travelling from Canada or America, they have 220V outlets, so adapter is not needed - exception is beard trimmers or hair tools. Bring lots of notes, no coins if you plan to tip staff. Be aware when travelling to Cuba that your choices for food is limited. [Details]

My daughter and I went to Valentin in June 2023. My fourth time and her first. She is 19 and thought it was paradise and can not wait to return. Tanis made sure out visit at Valentin was top notch. She braided our hair so we were comfortable for the week. She made sure we didn't miss the entertainment at the bar every day. The entertainment at Valentin is always the best. There were no shows but they still had entertainment at the lobby bar. My daughter loved the guitar player, the violin player and the saxophone player we saw. All talented musicians. Oh and don't let me forget about the singing trio! They were fantastic!

I enjoyed my one-week stay. The resort is very clean, the staff is amazing and the beach is out of this world. I enjoyed the food at the buffet even though the choices were more limited than in the past; I was never left hungry. My room was in great condition, comfortable bed and the AC worked like a charm. We had visited Cuba before, Varadero & decided to visit another part of Cuba. Cayo Santa Maria is absolutely a beautiful part of Cuba - and has many hotels and they are building more. The Valentin was amazing - with their many pools and many accesses to their beautiful beach. We met a few couples who had visited several times before staying at this same hotel. So obviously there was something very special about the Valentin! The hotel workers, even though they do not stay on-site, and have to be bused to the hotel daily, were respectful and helpful in many ways. We would go back again! [Details]

My overall experience at this resort was amazing!
The buffet was not open during my 7 day stay because the resort had just opened. I would have liked to see a better snack bar menu with a few more options since there wasn't a Buffett. [Details]

Amazing beach ....... three beach bars and not one washroom any where near them, very long walk to find a restroom if you like to spend the day at the beach. Both pools were large and nicely laid out never any trouble to get a chair. Buffet restaurant was horrible, dry overcooked meats very little selection. Al a carte restaurant's were very good. Most staff were friendly. Smoking permitted in all areas so hard to find a smoke free spot to be able to relax and enjoy your day. Rooms were very nice, pillows were like cement and never once had the beer and pop that was supposed to stocked in our fridge but cases of it could be seen being delivered around the resort. Liked Cuba just would not go back to this resort. Needs ALOT of updates/ repairs. [Details]

this was the first time that I didn't care for the food in Cuba and I've travelled to many resorts in Cuba it's a big resort so you don't get the time to have a relationship with the staff cause they too busy [Details]

At this point of my vacation history I have been to the Perla Blanca 6 times and was planning my 7th trip but put my trip on hold because of covid-19.

I have never had anything but enjoyment out of this resort and I have been to many resorts in Cuba (over 30 trips) Upon arrival the staff have always been very warm and welcoming. And some have remembered me by name which was very heart warming. The privilege staff, Ailys, Yamilet, and Yordano have been nothing short of very accommodating when it came to my needs and requests. They answered my questions with no hesitation. I would strongly recommend that anyone travelling to this destination include privilege in their vacation as it is well worth the money. Diego in customer services is a real charm. Always pleasant and ready to meet your requests and give information when asked. He is very competent in his position. The bar staff are always pleasant. My favourite being Rolo at the privilege bar. He's a very good bar tender and willing to prepare a new cocktail if he has the ingredients available to him. My rooms have always been clean with no problems. If a problem arises I make a call and the issue is resolved. Not always within five minutes but quickly. I have never gone hungry at the resort. There has been ample food available. I don't understand the people who complain about the food. If they wanted filet they should have gone to Europe. As a privilege member special dinners are provided and your reservations are made by the concierges. The beach is beautiful with a beautiful vista. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. If you do privilege you also get a massage which is super relaxing. Love it. All staff are amazing and try their best to make your stay pleasant. I will be returning to Perla Blanca as it is my home away from home. [Details]

I would not recommend this resort to anyone if you are a beer or wine drinker.3 days in a row they ran out of beer and wine by noon and some times in the evening at the buffet no wine either.The drive took us over 2 hours to get too the airport no bathroom on the bus that worked and stopped at a gas station no water so we continued on to the airport . We traveled from Winnipeg Mb. Canada Feb.28/2020 for a 7 day all inclusive to Valentin Perla Blanca. We have been to different destinations yearly for 15 years.,Cuba twice. Traveled with 2 other couples.
We are not fussy people..go with the flow. We have been to many classes of resorts , with just minor issues. Here is a list of issues that happened
-Cold coffee every morning
-no cheese for pizza from the snack bar all week
-no french fries(ran out of sweet potato fries after day 2)
-buffet pasta bar had no sauce for pasta( only had oil)
-buffet food was lukewarm or cold( not alot of selection)
- no sparkling wine ever( after we read that there was for mimosas)
-ran out of red table wine a few evenings early
-ran out of vodka also a few days (shelf vodka)
-now..totally unacceptable, was that they ran out of BEER for 4 of the days we were there!!! (Early afternoon until the next day)my husband drinks beer only..that was very maddening.
-our room fridge would get 2 beers ..some days( leaving a tip$) only to go back later and find one beer gone (3 different days)?? It happened to a other guests as well!
-no coffee in room..just a coffee maker

We left tips and gifts for the maid daily..$ tip on the fridge but didnt help.
This is the first trip that we are very disappointed and feeling ripped off for not getting what was expected ,for basics !!

-grounds and resort were clean

I have been to Cuba three times and this is the worst resort we have stayed at. The staff was rude with the exception of one or two individuals. The power went out several times. The water in our room was off nightly. Myself and my husband were violently ill from the food and with speaking with others we were not alone. It came to the point we could not walk into the dining hall for the smell. We ate what we could at the snack bar - which was, with the exception of two days- always out of bread - they never had cheese.
The pool was clean but in need of repairs - some were downright dangerous.
We were lucky to manage to find a good place for internet - it is almost impossible to get on at the lobby [Details]

Had a great time and will go there again for sure.

our 12th time in Cuba, first time reviewing
Semen in our bed at check in and No mattress cover just a sheet on the dirty mattress, was 2 hour check in at 1am so this was now 3am...we slept on top of all sheets. Just awful
Food was not enough for 1600 guests, cold, dirty buffet area and just plainly too many people lineups were looong
Dark walkways in bush areas and people fell often,
We were 8 people 4 couples and all got Food sickness which in all visits have never had before.
A woman was attacked by her spouse and she was told by staff to take a cab to town at 80 cuc to report it. She was not offered a safe place to sleep. He had her money and her passport. Staff would not help. It was a terrible attmosphere as a woman, to know there was no help for her.
2 not 1 but 2 Dead people while we were there. Man died in the pool and found at 5am...he was placed dead back in his room until a few days later when someone came to get his body. Pool was not cleaned..say what you want this was an awful experience. I have no words.
No toilet paper in the washrooms and missing toilet seats also no hand soap of any kind to clean your hands so ...people made a real mess then went to the pool to clean their feet and whatnot..seriously know why we all got sick you don't have to look far to see why. I had wipes etc but people who didn't other guests well....they just tried thier best [Details]

Resort needs some work, run down a little bit, overall great week. Definatly need to take bug spray bad at night and early mornings. Overall staff was great, need to up there game in food resort down the beach rated less stars had better food would rate a 3.5. Star [Details]

Over all the stay was not bad. It had its pros and cons. Beautiful beach, pools were nice, rooms were not too bad . We had issues with hot water, they had only one buffet open which was crazy when they had so many people crowding into one buffet. People were pushing.. they ran out of plates.. there wasn't enough food. Lots of shortages. We would go back to cayo Santa Maria to the sanctuary at grand memories as we enjoyed it there but not back to Valentin again we didnt enjoy it as much. [Details]
