Accra Beach Hotel And Spa

This hotel is a good place to stay. The location was nice and there was lots of place to have a choice of where to eat. [Details]

Stayed for a week and had a great time. Staff were amazing: friendly, helpful, cheerful. Beach is superb, spa is wonderful, location is great. The price we paid (part of a package) was great too. However, the pools seem to shut down at sunset, and no evening activities occur to speak of. They have such amazing facilities here and it seems a waste to shut it down after sunset. The restaurants are very expensive as well, but there is great and reasonably-priced food within walking distance at nearby restaurants. [Details]

We stayed here twice in 2023, both times in an Oceanfront Suite. The hotel is well located on our favourite beach in Barbados, and close to shops and restaurants. The view from our Oceanfront Suite was breathtaking and was our main reason for choosing this hotel. The hotel is in need of significant investment/renovations. The hallways and rooms are worn down and things like light fixtures, balcony doors, Venetian blinds, and air-conditioning are on their last legs. All hotel staff are friendly and do a great job keeping this grand old hotel running smoothly. (The Monarc.ca photo of hotel is decades old and is missing an entire wing of the hotel.) [Details]

The only pro to this resort was that the A/C worked in the room. The resort presents very run down, transient and outdated. Hallways are dark and not well lit; lighting in room is dim; water pressure is low; pillows are awful; elevator is sketchy; beach chairs are worn and in need of replacing; no one to set up beach chairs after 9:00 am; breakfast options are poor, stale and over priced; wifi is poor to non-existent; no one cleans the beach area of left over garbage/plastic cups, etc.; people just walked off the beach and used the hotel chairs and umbrellas that are for hotel guests; beach towels need replacing; staff do not seem particularly interested in guests' well-being; no way to tell who is a hotel guest or not; no one showed you to your room; I felt robbed for the amount that I paid to stay here. I would give this hotel a ZERO rating if there was one. This hotel should not be in business. [Details]

Great spot for a family vacation. Tons of restaurants and shops just accross the street. Amazing beach. Room was fine. We love Barbados! [Details]

We loved the atmosphere at Accra.
The hotel staff are very friendly, and helpful.
The beach was one of the best I've been too.
I found the rooms to be very clean as well.
We did have problems with our toilet, and the water pressure in the shower.
As well, not a very good canadian dollar exchange rate at the front desk.
We use a phone card, so a pay phone at Accra would have been more convenient. [Details]

Great time in Barbados. Nice hotel, easy to get to, (we rented a car at the airport), the staff were wonderful and easy to talk with. If we were to travel to the Barbados again we would definitively consider staying there again. A great experience. [Details]

Loved the Accra Beach Hotel and Accra Beach. Well managed hotel, good clean rooms, but there could have been more entertainment. Our only disappointment was that they had promised to move us to an oceanview room but then told us there was nothing available. Be careful where your room is located, some island view rooms overlook a derelict building. [Details]

For the price I expected more from the hotel. It was clean, close to hotel but I have travelled to an all inclusive in Mexican and the Dominican for less money and got far more for the money. Not much to do at resort, no entertainment much to speak of, only swimming. I would not gop back to Barbadoes. Went on a submarine tour, not bad for the money. Dominican far better deal. The only complaint that we had is that is was a non-smoking hotel and we were unaware of this,I don't know why you couldn't smoke on your balcony.The restarants were not that great, it was hard to figure out what times you could eat there, but there were many places in the vacinity to eat.It was very hard to get a drink during happy hour at the pool side bar. The rooms were a bit outdated but very clean.The hotel staff on a hole were very willing to help you with anything you needed.We went there for our 25th wedding aniv. and it really didn't offer a hole lot to do, it is a place that forces you to relax.
