This was my first island experience and I was thrilled with it. The Club resort was well run, clean, freshly renovated and the staff for the most part were fabulous. [Details]

The strong points
Freshly renovated,
Food and drinks were good with lots of choices
Layout of the property made accessing all areas easy.
Not crowded, smaller resort with plenty of room to relax, no fighting for beach chairs.
The weak points
Service during breakfast was a struggle to get a coffee and tea.
A la cart dinner at Ennids was not great service was exceptionally slow, portions sizes tiny, meats over cooked/ dry, dessert not as described on menu.
Issues with lack of linens.
Sanitary measures
As far as we could tell all Covid protocols were followed.

The resort is very quiet. Which is great for us. The resort was very clean. The food was great with only two restaurants. Two days of the week the one restaurant serves buffet. Other than that it is a la carte with a different menu each time. The second restaurant is open only on certain days. There is not much of a beach area but we knew that before we selected this resort. [Details]

The strong points
Friendly staff doing their best to ensure all is well for guests. Food is good and premisses are clean.
The weak points
Chairs by the pool and by the sea are quickly reserved by guests and stayed reserved even if guests are absent for long period of time You may end up with having no place to sit even if many chairs are unoccupied.

My husband and I really loved the small size of the resort and the staff were friendly and polite. In our mid 40's we were probably the youngest couple at the resort. It was very quiet and despite not having a beach area, there was easy access to the water and it was lovely. Premium liquor offered was also nice, although you had to be sure to ask for it each time and there were a number of days that certain kinds were "unavailable". Dinner needed to be reserved the day before, which we found inconvenient, needing to watch the clock, and some days (depending on what you did during the day) you aren't really sure that you want to eat at a pre-arranged time. Housekeeping would be in our room very late in the afternoon one day and knocking at the door first thing in the morning the next. I found that to be slightly intrusive. There was also problems with the water boilers and that resulted in no hot water for 2 days. Management offered free WIFI to our room. Returning to Barbados, I would prefer to by-pass the rainy season (which is right at the end of November) so I would book the first or second week of December. (We had 2 solid days of pouring rain during our stay.) We were able to take a trip on Friday night to Oistins for the fish fry - this was money well spent - we loved the meal and the local atmosphere. [Details]
