We arrived at Rondel approximately 9:45p.m. The office closed at 9:30p.m., even though our private taxi driver called ahead to let them know we would be there soon. So, the security guard took us to our room. No problem, very quick. My initial feeling was one of claustrophobia as we walked through the grounds of the resort. It's small! Our beach side, superior, room was very nice! It was clean, bright and beautiful! We had a nice large balcony. It looks as though the rooms had been renovated recently, and done up very nicely. There was a welcoming gift for us as we arrived! I thought this was very classy! Beach is very small, as there is a wall separating the beach from the resort. There is a beautiful, small pool in the middle of the beach side section, that seemed to always need a good clean. The restaurant and bar are very nice, complete with a Koi fish pond. Service was very good, as was the food. Happy hour is only twice a week. The internet seemed a bit slow, very weak by the restaurant/bar, and pretty well non-existent by the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed Rondel Village! A nice, small, quiet resort right on the beach! [Details]

The strong points
Beautiful rooms! Excellent friendly staff! Very low key, and relaxing. Small, but very nice beach. Great restaurant, with good service. Location is right on the beach!
The weak points
Some balconies face other units no more than a foot or so away from each other! Restaurant/bar are a bit pricey. Beach had a lot of cigarette butts (dam smokers!). Exchange rate is terrible! Weak wifi. Office staff could be a bit more helpful.
