We stayed there as a family of 6 including 9,19,20,23 year old kids. Had a connecting rooms which was good. The main things for us was having something for everything and this resort is a mid-size resort, it's clean, well-maintained, and the food was very good. There are 3 restaurants plus the buffet, we enjoyed all the restaurants. Service was good, friendly staff, no long lines or waiting which was nice. Pools and layout was good, big beach volcanic sand, great weather and there are things to do if you want to go off site. Entertainment was fantastic, one of the best we've seen, congrats to them. Only 2 negatives, no king beds so we have to push together the double beds and the sports bar food was not very good as it is 24 hours, everything was stale and not good. Other than that, we really liked this resort.

Resort had poor service because mainly most staff did not know english and some didnt understand english even at positions such as reception. Found many staff rude. Have travelled to over 20 resorts and this is the only one I would not return to

had a wonderful stay at Gran Evenia Bijao. the staff was amazing, super friendly, helpful snd accommodating. we had a young infant with us and they were all so amazing to our family and our little man, providing a highchair for him at every meal. i truly appreciate how hard the staff works here. beautiful views of the Pacific.

excellent experience - 6 of us including 2 children (8&10). Food was varied with lots of selection....a la carte dining was high quality and delicious. Staff were helpful and available as needed. Activities on site were varied with good options for children. Rooms very clean. Optional off-site tours were available which allowed all of our family to participate in the activity that they wanted. Lots of seating at the pools and it was never busy which was a pleasant surprise considering it was March break time in Canada and lots of out of country travelling.

Check in was good, Roberto was very helpful & kind. The hotel itself is lovely. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we loved the view. (Room 508). We loved the location, and the ease of getting around the city. They have done a great job of maintenance with the hotel, and I hope that continues as we plan to return one day soon. The breakfast options were good as well. Great variety. Had one issue of being charged for snacks that were actually not in our room upon arrival, but came back to our room one day to find a bill for chips & nuts we never saw nor consumed. I quickly resolved the issue with front desk. I just think the actually employee who takes care of this, should ensure they do their job correctly, as I do not like unexpected charges for services, and or items I did not have the opportunity to choose to use/consume in the first place. Pool was good, although the wait staff on most days didn't seem to cater to the pool side guests who wanted to order food & or drinks, and service seemed slow some days, but overall the pool is a bonus for the hotel. Checking out was delightful as well by Ali, he too just like Roberto upon check in were courteous, friendly & efficient. I should add I actually booked two rooms, as I had brought my in laws with us - Their room as well was clean, spacious & comfortable (Room 716). We all enjoyed out stay here & will return in the future.
