Occidental Cozumel

Overall we enjoyed ourselves muchly although the weather was a touch cool. No reflection on the hotel. We enjoyed the scuba diving and thought that the reefs were recovering some.
We enjoyed it so much we joined First club and will be visiting Occidental Resorts around the world. [Details]

This was our first time in this hotel, and it was ok, there is a small beach, one of the best in the island. Good food, to be a all inclusive, with 3 a la cart restaurants. [Details]

Check in was efficient and informative. Everything was clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Our concierge Isaac was very helpful - thank you! All in all, a good week. [Details]

Like authentic nature of hotel...I was a 5 time guest, as I love Cozumel.
Royal Club should be adults only. Rooms are getting tired-broken and rusting lamp shades, torn curtains, couch smelled and was dirty, linens and pillow were old
Adult only pool should be heated-many people complained that it was cold.
Biggest concern is the lack of umbrellas and no beach cabanas for full shade-I have had skin cancer--the trees to not provide adequate
coverage.
Upset that insect spraying continues in spite of paying an environmental fee.
Buffets got boring-not enough variety [Details]

Lovely week here - fantastic snorkeling, great beach for swimming, snorkeling. Great ocean-side pool. The a la carte restaurants are wonderful. Buffet restaurants have small buffet selection with little variety - they are understaffed and there is often a long line to be seated (staff running trying to clear & set tables and keep up with the guests). Understaffed pool bar with one poor fellow making all the drinks AND running for more cups! Front desk is a mess - one staff tried to con us into an "upgrade fee" - when another staff said there was no fee he said he had "worked it out for us" and then he demanded a tip before giving me our room key. Pesky Wifi fee (just increase the price and include it!) - paid for 7 days but only received 5 and had to go back (and line up again) to have it corrected. With the exception of the front desk and the lines and lack of variety at the buffet restaurants this place is fantastic. [Details]

We travel true all Mexico and stay always in 4,5 or 5 stars hotels
This is first time i have to write bad reviews Hotel is really nice, clean, beach beautiful, but receptionist the are nice till you ask questions than start be rude , or tray call them from room because you don't have hot water , they never pick up the phone i call 3 time no answer, i have emergency call from Canada they never connect call to our room ,
Call from Canada again 1 hour later same thing i was never informed about call
We reserved catamaran, when we supposed go for ride , they have double booked, tomorrow same thing and they tray find excuses and argue how they have only one catamaran, so why reservations that go first come first serve
7 days vacation you can go only for 2 restaurants la cart
Coffee is water down
I don't need stress on my vacation , i am here to relax [Details]

The beach is good, always clean any that's what we were looking for. Also the staff is super friendly and helpful. Rogelio at the Carreta restaurant was the best. I certainly recommend this hotel for relax and enjoy the paradise. [Details]

Since you enter they receive you with delicious coconut milk cocktail as a pina colada, which make you feel in heaven, the fabulous food dishes exquisite cuisine. All that you need for relax and have a good time. I introduced part of my beautiful Mexico to my husband with this hotel. The room are so good making you feel in a real Mexican ascienda. [Details]

We decided to visit Hotel on our most recent trip to Cozumel and it was amazing! The front desk staff was attentive and cared for us very well during our stay. The facilities and spa were amazing. I would recommend for any family of adults or couples. [Details]

We visited in April. This was a totally restful vacation.
Beautifully situated on the Caribbean Sea, Occidental could easily provide a perfect beach movie location: white sand and blue sky.
The staff are extremely accommodating, always ready to help with a smile on their faces. The food is excellent and it is very clear that the management are leaders in hospitality.

We wanted a vacation to de-stress and it was certainly the answer
The food in the Buffet was pretty good (casual). In the morning you could get an omelette cooked to order. Dinner, you could pick out a dinner in the a la
Cart or just go at the buffet. There was also a Snack bar by the lobby that served sandwiches, nachos, etc [Details]

This resort is very beautiful and caters to the adult traveler.Every staff member met us with a smile as well as professional courtesy both day and night.Rooms were nice, food was good, nice beach, Spa,gym and restaurants were great. [Details]

Everything was beyond compare. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The spa is the best we have experienced. The restaurants and liquor are all first class. The beach is wonderful with amazing pure white sand. We loved our room and we had a great jungle view. Last but not least, was the service. We had never experienced service as good as this and we travel quite extensively. They went out of their way to please us, even as far as making a special dinner ( not on the menu) just for us when we told them we were celebrating a new job for my husband. [Details]

We had the best service of ANY all-inclusive we have ever stayed at. The restaurants and food service were incredible. Our favorite restaurant was the Mediterranean restaurant. It had the feel and quality of the finest restaurants in New York or Philly. There is not one thing that I would have changed about our trip. [Details]

We found this resort to be one of the best. The service was top notch, our room was beautiful--overlooking the Jungle.
The pool waiters were always available (I highly recommend the sea food restaurant .) and the bartender was always happy to mix the drinks as you liked. Once they knew what you liked you didn't have to repeat the request. [Details]

Our fourth visit to Occidental Cozumel and once again, came home totally relaxed and recharged. Spa was my favorite, had a wonderful aroma therapy massage. Don't miss Chef's dinner with wine. To the staff, Thank you for your exceptional service. [Details]

Loved the resort, clean, comfortable, very well maintained. Food and drinks are great, always hot food available 24/7. Luis Chan was an excellent resource for us and we highly recommend him. The staff in the buffet and all around the hotel in general were also excellent. Pool and beach side by side is ideal. Saw some fish and starfish when we were snorkeling right at the beach. I can say that all the great reviews are on point and well deserved. We stayed at one of the Royal Level suits,The room itself is nice and spacious but the service… WOW! The staff was great, always friendly and attentive. [Details]

This was our 1st time visit to Occidental Cozumel. The resort is simply saying incredible place.
The room was clean and very well organized.The pool area is super nice and right at front of the beach.
The colour of the water was magnificent and the water was warm to jump in and swim.
The restaurant at the beach is great for breakfasts, lunch and at night turns into the very nice dinner restaurant with the best view of the ocean. This place has the best location during any time of the day or evening. We love to eat outside so this was perfect for us. [Details]

This is our 3rd time to Cozumel, ands 3rd time to this resort. We have considered trying other places but we are always very happy with our stay. The staff here are very wonderful, they truly immerse themselves into your visit to make it the best for you.

Occidental Cozumel was everything we expected and more. We were looking for a relaxing vacation and that's what we got!
There are two pools, one ocean front and one at the back. There is no loud music at the pools just quiet relaxing music.
We are sold on this resort it is lovely,the food is excellent, everything about it first class, The people who work here are so amazing , the resort is lovely ,so worth the $ [Details]

Occidental Cozumel mafe this our best vacation ever! We didn't want to leave and we are planning to go back. Every detail was handled with attention and care. We can't stop telling everyone how great this vacation was! We are going to make this an annual trip! [Details]

I don't tend to write reviews unless my experience is really bad or incredibly. We have stayed at many resorts, but keep coming back to Cozumel coastline due to the exceptional beaches and what you get for your money.I recommend at least trying the mexican restaurant once where our waiter was exceptional and knowledgeable with the menu dishes and wines. When you eat breakfast at the buffet make sure you have Jose make you an omelette or eggs rancheros which is out of this world.
I highly recommend giving this resort a one time shot, knowing you will be back. They certainly live up to the 5 stars rating!! Thank you again for making our Trip one we will always remember. [Details]

Our checkin was seamless and we were shown to our room in short order.It became the best honeymoon. I want to come back again. Delicious meal with a beautiful blue sea and tasty sake.
