Melia Marina Varadero Apartments

We have stayed at the Melia Marina on numerous occasions (close to 10 times). We were there when it first opened and actually watched the construction of the resort from another resort nearby. All I can say is that when we return home we begin to think about the next time we will visit this incredible resort. What makes us return each time is the beauty of the resort, the Cuban people and their culture and the modern vibe of this classy resort. The resort has the most magnificent views in all of Varadero. Where can you watch a catamaran set sail and the sun set and rise off your balcony. The beach is world class and is just steps away from the resort and the staff provides you with a variety of opportunities for different fitness classes. The Cuban people are so gentle and kind, always eager to please with a smile on their face (the front desk staff, the buffet staff and Yeinsy). The hard work of the dancers and the singers nightly provide you with a glimpse of this marvelous culture. The rooms are stylish, very clean, and well maintained for Cuban standards. The buffet and restaurants offer a variety of different dishes that are enough to satisfy our appetite. We are not there to "overdose" on food!
