We really enjoyed our time at The Sands. The location is good, the staff was very friendly, the beach was clean with enough lounge chairs and umbrellas, and the food was good. Our room was spacious, with a large balcony. We had no substantive issues, and we would definitely consider staying there again. [Details]

The weak points
The workout gym was a joke, no refrigerator at the bar. Beach should be clean every day for the price. Beer wasn't cold enough, but other than that it was a great relaxing week.
Sanitary measures (Covid-19)
Very good. More strict than Canada

Booked for dates are 15th to 22nd Aug 2021, moved to another hotel on 17th Aug 1. Needs lick of paint, at entrance, not inviting 2. Dark in rooms 3. No pen no paper, no info in room, on dining menus times, towels etc etc 4. No coffee marker 5. Dark entrance to room 6. Ocean front room but could not see ocean. 7. Run out of beer at 4 every day?, wait for more 8. No dish washer at bar, all done by hand in covid times. 9. Only outside dining, so flies while eating. 10. No kids menus so always had to ask. 11. Fixed menu every other day but never published in advance 12. Badly run Buffett, slow and inexperienced servers 13. Broken cement table rusting on beach top. 14. There for 3 days and not once was seaweed seen to be taken off beach [Details]
