Rooms were spectacular, sand was extremely soft and lots of beach, adults side was amazing to have access to, restaurants were all delicious, staff was amazing!
The weak points
Bit farther from the airport compared to some other resorts, soda water tasted funny, buffet food was okay. Pools were almost bath water warm but that's to be expected in August.

Nice resort, very clean. Beach is beautiful, food at the restaurants is great, booze is booze(watered down), the buffet is a buffet... Staff very friendly and accommodating. Take lots of sunscreen and snacks has the resort store charges through the nose (bag of chips $17usd sunscreen $35usd for small bottle). The Star Class is a waste of money. We didn't have any trouble getting reservations at any of the restaurants without a butler and there's 3 other pools besides the star class for you to enjoy, its just another money grab. Environmental fee is another money grab and they charge you way more than ther tell you. Supposed to be $1.92 per day but we got charged $135 bucks, doesn't work out right on my calculator. Seems to more geared for singles but trying to pass it off has family oriented. Most of all, the entertainment is the worst I've seen at any resort I've ever visited. Definitely won't be going back to this spot. One and done. [Details]

Overall a great time! Very clean and well laid out newer resort. Great Beach and ocean steps away. Our butler/concierge team Susy and Mafer were fantastic and took great care of all of our reservations and information we needed to have and were always there when we needed assistance. Lots of options for restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend that you pay the upgrade to Star level so you can have access to the extra pools, bars and eating options it allows you. [Details]

Our butler/concierge team Susy and Mafer - just fantastic Ladies! Beach and Ocean are just wonderful - clean sand and clear water. Sunset Steak house, Mexican, Italian, The Shores for breakfast and Guys Burger bar for lunch were the best restaurants.
The weak points
Main buffet, Catch and Braza for Dinner were very bad. The Star Scene adult pool was too noisy all day and many never got out of the pool(pee). So many people were reserving pool chairs before 7am everyday that it was impossible to get a chair.

Wonderful adults only space - a few odd things

, Golden, BC
2024-01-08
Beautiful - another brand new hotel in this area which is incredible. I am a huge fan of adults only when I'm not travelling with the kids. Rooms - we got a swim up room was great but there's ZERO sun on the one side all day - but it was perfect for my friend and I when we needed to take some work calls or wanted to be away from everyone. Food - this is where it was odd...the adults only restaurant is wonderful, but you have to go over to the buffet area where there's a lot of people and the service was not great and the food just...fair. We decided to eat almost all our meals at the one restaurant at adult only side and did the Italian a la carte on the other side a few times. Fairly tasty but nothing to write about ;) Room - bathrooms are beautiful, lots of room for two people to hang out inside the room and of course in the swim out pool! NO drinks in the room - you have to pay for this - which is in my opinion ridiculous for an all inclusive. This is where the odd stuff happens - they want you to pay for everything, some of the activities, the extra fees for upgrading to 'diamond'...or deluxe to eat different foods - this seems so strange when you've already upgraded your room, and paid to be in the adult only side. Pool area - is beautiful, really so many places to lay down, lots of areas to relax or participate in the activities. But NO snacks....if you didn't upgrade (lol). You also can't sit in certain areas unless you order bottle service - I just don't like this, when you pay for an all inclusive you want to show up and have ....the all inclusive experience. Lazy river was amazing, and the resort is beautiful. I would go back and try the kids area with my family and or go back with friends again. LOVED room service - ordering coffee to arrive first thing in the morning is always a beautiful thing. [Details]

My husband and I stayed in a swim up on the adults only side. The pools, including the swim up was really cold so we swam in the ocean instead which was breathtaking. The sand is soft and the water is incredible! We found that drinks were inconsistent. The service by the pool was ok however for 3 of the 5 days we had Harvey and he was AMAZING! The food was good.Guy's burger Joint and the Indian restaurant were a 10/10. Italian was good however we felt as though the service was lacking and not certain as to why. We loved the mini put and lazy river, even as adults. We played basketball which we loved that it was within the resort grounds. They also have Flow Rider which oddly you have to pay for. For the price we pay, I believe it should be free and to avoid massive lines, an online scheduling system should be adopted (ex: can only book the night before type of thing). [Details]

Amazing Time

, Toronto, ON
2023-12-01
We had the Directors Suite which was awesome, as were the grounds and amenities. This is a mega resort so be prepared to walk. We didn't mind however as there was so much to do. Entertainment at first seemed a little amateurish and mostly geared to kids, which I didn't mind, but there were also some good shows including the Queen band and an acrobatics show. We paid extra for lobster dinner on the beach and it was definitely worth it. There was live music and a fire show. Bring your sunglasses though unless you want to get sand in your eyes. Still, very enjoyable.
Food was very good. The Italian a la carte was our favorite. The buffet was also very good. The Mexican restaurant ironically wasn't that good but oh well, nothing is perfect. If you don't want to wait, go early for dinner. Make sure to register for the special events like Mexican night in the main entertainment area. The buffet is very good and you might get invited up on stage to participate in the show.
We loved the pools and bars. The lazy river was my favorite. The ocean was beautiful and there was almost no seaweed.
Definitely going back. [Details]

Single occupancy, bachelor party, group of 8. This claims to be a 5 star, but it's really a 3.5 at best. The staff are nice, I tipped everyone, every time. This is a newer resort, but the lack of build quality shows in the finishing touches. The rooms feel and smell damp. The sheets feel wet. My room didn't have toilet paper. I called for toilet paper and something to deodorize the room. Only the toilet paper came. WIFI is bad throughout the resort. It's difficult to reserve seats at the restaurants as they get booked up quite fast. The buffet restaurant is good and has plenty of selections. I spoke to multiple guests, and they had the same issues, some had it even worse. We all agreed that we would not be visiting this resort again. Although there's a lot of amenities in the resort, most of it is pay per use. So please don't think that All Inclusive means everything. The location is far from Cancun downtown. If you're planning on leaving the resort, your ride will cost you almost 100usd one way. If you still want to check out the resort, staying 2 nights is long enough. You'll see everything you need to see. I did pay a premium to stay here, and I can tell you it wasn't worth it, but don't knock it til you try it, right? [Details]

On arrival, we were showed driven to 3 different check-in desks before they got it correctly at the Star Class Adult Scene check-in desk. We were not any information or paperwork to explain anything about our stay at the resort “Star Class” status or the resort itself. No letter, no vouchers (that we found out later people did receive). We had a butler, what a joke that was, he didn't really help us, he would text us our dinner reservations and he would decide where we ate. There was no explanation of our holidays, no schedule. We were ignored, not respected. We missed 2 important nights in the main area, for example, there was an Oscar Night event for everyone with buffet, but our Personal Agent didn't even tell us. The food at this resort is very unappetizing, disgusting, food is undercooked, ex. scallops, salmon, shrimp, chicken, and we did specify to be fully cooked. When we did have reservation, we were seated, then ignored for almost one hour before being seen. There were 900 people for a DHL conference, then there were 250 students with their parents from Kansas City. The wine was not drinkable. I asked many times that since we were Star Class, where is the better wine, the Star Class pool.
Our last day, the shuttle left at 1:30pm for our 7:25pm flight. They wanted us out of there! I wish I would have not gone to that resort since it was our first trip together as a mother and daughter trip :( What a waste of money! [Details]

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Review

I stayed in this resort with a friend, Star Class Junior Suite building 11. Our room was ocean view and as close to the beach as possible on the resort. Our check in process went smoothly-unfortunately due to flight delays, we arrived at 9pm, were promptly attended to and escorted to our building and given room tour. Very friendly staff. We would have appreciated the option of having 2 smaller beds in our room, but were assigned a King bed and shared it. Our room was clean, but the bathroom had missing decals and residual adhesive on the mirrors- not a huge deal, but could have been taken care of without big issues. We had great experiences by the wait staff by the pools and beach. We were able to get reservations and have many questions answered by our concierge team of Lois and Fanny, and had great exchanges and conversations with both of them until our last day, then we felt they dropped the ball and did not respond to our request to help with a later checkout, bell boy service and general procedures for leaving the resort. Our flight was delayed, and therefore our transfer time to airport was pushed back. Guest services still required us to check out 3 hours before our transfer was coming. There were no hospitality rooms available and late checkout was not an option due to 'a large group arrival' that day. I figured as Star Class, we would have some option or assistance to help with the transition, but it felt like the resort had washed their hands of us and didn't seem to concerned.
Another weak point is the entertainment at the resort. I found the activities were more geared to families (which i completely understand), but there could have been more options for adults who want to socialize/have different experiences that don't involve a Circus or Superheros. Our favorite evenings were the Silent Disco and Queen Cover Band.
My last 'beef' was the amount of smoking in public areas- such as around the pools and group shows. It was very inconsiderate for others, but the staff didn't seem to tell anyone to stop.
This really was a great resort- we didn't have a bad meal or drink, perfect weather all week. I would totally recommend it to any couple/family. I would not return to this resort until it was a deal I couldn't resist, otherwise I feel there are many more resorts to try out in the area. [Details]

Staff were very friendly, always seen working hard. The grounds were very tidy and it was rare to see any garbage (very windy x 2 days). Drinks were delicious!
The weak points
The reservation system needs an overhaul!! There either needs to be more restaurants or less people. It shouldn't be so hard for families/couples to get a reasonable reservation to eat without sacrificing 3 hours of the day waiting in line.
Sanitary measures
There could be more hand sanitizer stations around.

The hotel itself is pretty good. The lazy river is fun and if you plan on drinking in it definitely bring a mug with a lid as there are two waterfalls on either side that make it almost impossible to not get pool water in your drink.

If you are going without getting starclass I can see the process of getting dinners would be very annoying.

The food was very bland at the majority of the restaurants, if you like any sort of heat/spice on your food you will be disappointed. It also wasnt uncommon for food and drink orders to be mixed up. The coffee shop no longer serves fresh pressed juices even though it is on the menu due to time constraints.

The main stage entertainment was pretty good and is what you would expect from a resort that caters to families. Most of the adults only entertainment occured at the adults only pool and consisted of loud music/foam/beer drinking competitions.

The gym was very nice and not super busy while we visited.

Overall it was a good vacation but I wouldnt recommend to anyone looking for a more adult scene. [Details]

- Our butler Ignacio was extremely responsive to dinner requests and was generally a cool guy :) The beach was wonderful, and quite clean. The couple nights that my group went to the Disco (club) it was well populated and fun.
The weak points
A lot of the resort felt like they were nickle and diming you for basic features. The van ride from the airport is about 45-60 min depending on what other resorts you are stopping by on the way and it is farely far away from shopping in cancun.

The hotel did not disappoint! We were in the Director's Suite. More than enough room for 2 people…..plus it had 2 full bathrooms. Rooms were modern and very clean with a huge balcony.
The resort was beautiful and laid out well. Nothing was too far away. Lots of amenities. The gym was spectacular (7 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, bikes, a room for classes and then a very well-equipped weight room). We played mini putt several nights (great course even for adults).
Food was good. Our default was the Cal Sol buffet as we were a group of 9 and there was always something for everyone. We had several breakfasts and one dinner at the Braza grill on the adult side and it was very good.
Bar service at the pool (thank you Danielle) and beach was exceptional. [Details]

Not Really an Adult Resort

, Toronto, ON
2023-01-28
There are many positives about this hotel. The food is good. The staff are very nice. Check-in at the Adult Scene was quick and easy. Our swim-out room in Bldg 15 was amazing. It had separate bathroom counters/sinks. The hot water was endless. The patio was very large. The beach had powdery soft white sand. The Adult pool was nice and large. We never had trouble getting a chaise lounger with umbrella at the adult pool and we did not go early to save one. It was a little harder to get an umbrella at the beach. The ocean was always wavy, which for some could be fun. Not the greatest for swimming though. The red safety flag was out the whole week. They do a great job of cleaning the seaweed off the beach. They had a nice gym with lots of equipment. Only one of the 2 upright exercise bikes worked and it was calibrated at a difficult level for starting so it was hard to warm-up graduallly. The other bike had a sign on it all week saying it would be repaired soon. They did had a separate room with 8-10 very good Life Fitness spin bikes.

The three biggest negatives for us and the reasons we would not go back to this resort:
1. It did not have the feel of an adult resort except at the adult pool and at night in the one adult only restaurant that was open. There are 2 restaurants on the adult side, Braza and Catch but only one was open at any time. In the evening most of the activity centered around a bar and the main stage which are in the family area and there were always many children out and about. There was no intimate adult activity such as a piano bar or small band or singer with a guitar where you could sit back, relax and enjoy a cocktail. There were a lot of people crowded around the main bar and very noisy.
2. In order to make a reservation for dinner, you had to either order a bottle of wine the day before or join the Star Class for a lot more money (about $70 per day per person). This resulted in us having to roam from one restaurant to the other to see if we could get in at a reasonable time. Quite often in order to eat around 8 pm we could not find a restaurant we liked (Catch, East, Steak House, Italian, Braza) and had to settle for waiting on ourselves at the main buffet. Not great when you have paid $2600 each for a week.
3. There weren't many activities during the day for most 60 people. At the adult pool they had drinking games and most sexy competitions (I'm bitter because I came in last place). They did do a bit of aqua-fit for 30 minutes around 11 am. The ocean was too rough for kayaking etc. There were no bike excursions or anything like that. [Details]

Check in was easy, took less then 10 mins, before I was walked to my room. My room was a directors suite in building 12, my balcony faced Braza and Catch. The room was huge! 2 full bathrooms and a free standing jetted tub. The room is muggy when I first arrived but after the air conditioning and ceiling fans were on, the humidity dissipated. One thing that was kind of off putting was the smell of the closets, I can't quite pin the smell, but kind of moldy smelling. Room comes with 2 mini bars, a robe and slippers. There is also a bar in the room where you can purchase bottles to put in the dispensers. Bottles start at $40 US. The room also has a wine cooler that holds 4 bottles of wine, champagne etc. My room came with a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine. Everything in resort is easy to access. The sidewalks are a death trap when wet. I saw several people fall on rainy days. The adult pool was happening most days. The service around the pool was amazing! Ricardo snd Mildred were amazing waiters, or messaro as the entertainment group taught me. Drinks were good! Definitely bring a Yeti or a cup with a straw. There's no straws and it's hard to drink frozen drinks without one. The entertainment team did there best to get people to have fun. I'd recommend bringing a floaty to use the lazy river, it's very hard to find extras. Guys burgers was an excellent lunch spot, I'd recommend going around 11:45 to beat the lunch time lineups. Gustos take out pizza is decent for around the pool munching. My favourite restaurant was Sutra the Indian restaurant, the food was amazing! Israel my waiter was amazing! The Steak house was delicious, and Gusto for dinner was amazing as well! PCR testing was very unorganized. People shouting at the employees. People arguing who's next etc. The lab also messed up and had the improper date on several peoples results. Thankfully someone pointed that out to me, as I completely overlooked it myself. Check out and transfer back to the airport was quick and simple. I would definitely return to this resort! I did has a blast! [Details]

This resort was a great place to stay. We stayed on the adults only side which gave us 2 extra restaurants that only adult scene members could go, if you are lucky enough to meet Manuel he will treat you great and become a friend. This allowed us to stay away from the main buffet, which we found tasty but very busy and no proper flow. There was many a la carte restaurants as well to always have variety the best was the Indian restaurant. The lazy river was very relaxing with a little grotto bar part way through for a quick drink, would be nice to have more rafts as there never seemed to be any. Rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable, like all rooms in Mexico they are musty until you get the air moving so turn on the fan.
The main corridor has most of the restaurants, buffet and coffee shop (they need more staff working there as there is always a line up), the could also have self serve counter for people that want just a regular coffee. The corridor can get loud but there is always a place to sit. The main bar is busy but the bartenders do a great job, Alexis was my favourite, he always made me surprise drinks that were amazing.

The strong points
Great food, adults only side that is enforced So no Kids. Comfortable beds friendly staff
The weak points
No sea weed but water was rough and deep (not fault of resort). Information is all on the tv in room, should have a app that provides more info while you are out of your room (if you take your phone)
Sanitary measures
Masks required in any indoor areas, sanitizer and temperature before entering restaurants. COVID tests provided at resort for extra charge, easy to access and book.

3/5 room decent but had flies in it non stop. Was told that was normal - it is not.
Overall cleanliness was not great. Especially the pool area and how they washed the glasses there. Seriously gross. [Details]

The strong points
good food
The weak points
cleanliness is a serious issue. Pool bar glasses are not even washed in soap...just a light rinse and the bar tender uses his hands and fingers to scrub with water very lightly - very gross.

My partner and I spent a week in September 2021 at the Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall resort, despite some issues we experienced with our room. The food, customer service, entertainment, beach and even the weather, were all fantastic! We would recommend this resort and return, as long as the room issues are resolved. [Details]
