This hotel was conveniently located about 4 blocks away from the 96th Street (6) Train and was a pleasure to stay in. Staff were attentive, our room was cleaned every day, and it was a cosy one week stay in New York. There's a lot of places to eat and grab groceries nearby, as our room came with a basically equipped kitchen. Gas range was nice to cook on! The appliances were quite dated however, the over-the-range microwave didn't work and therefore, the vent didn't work which caused the smoke alarm to go off when we were making breakfast. Bathroom fixtures also a bit dated, but nothing that caused an inconvenience. Construction of a new station right outside the hotel was extremely loud some mornings, but nothing unexpected. Would recommend! [Details]

We spent 6 days at the Marmara and found the hotel staff to be courteous and helpful. The location is very good for New York sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and clean and overall we had a lovely time. We would certainly consider staying there again. [Details]

We really liked this hotel. It was good to have the kitchen, so we had the choice to prepare our own breakfasts and tea and coffee. The staff were efficient and super friendly. The only problem was the noise from the roadworks which is out of their control but it didn't bother us. [Details]

40th anniversary getaway

This was a lovely older hotel. We had a l bedroom full kitchen which was great as we purchased a few groceries and had breakfast and lunch in our room and ate out in the evenings.

It would have been nice to have a room with a view especially if we had been there for a week or more. This trip included airfare and hotel and the quality of the hotel in comparison to the price was an excellent deal. [Details]
