Wyndham Alltra Vallarta All-Inclusive

Very disappointed in this resort! It's considered a quiet resort, which we did not know about . It's  like a seniors retirement condo resort! Most of the ages were 65 . They run the place as they think they own it . 
No music by the pools, you are not allowed to play your own music either, beach towels were very hard to get. Opened at 9 and my 10 no towels. A lot of rules. 
Towels in the rooms are very poor quality. Most days the maids did not even replace them, so u are left with none.
Don't bother to upgrade to VIP package… not with it. 
If you are away from your chair for more than 30 mins your things are removed.
Food was good and beach was beautiful..

Nice hotel with nice restaurants. Did not find anything spectacular except the weather. Food was fine but not outstanding. Not much of a night life and only 1 main bar which was strangely located by the car drop off zone [Details]

This is a nicely kept and managed property with only 1 small buffet and 3 ala carte restaurants and a small snack bar at the entrance and a lunch buffet and a small ala carte restaurant near the pools. They do not have a swim up bar and no drinks are allowed in the pool. (Pool cops are very determined on this and don't pay any attention to people that are visiting the condo renters and do not have wrist bands. Nice sandy beach with lounge chairs but good luck getting a lounge chair at the beach or at the pool, You have to get up at 6:am to get a lounge chair and you can't leave for more than an hour or staff will remove your towel and you will not have a place at the pool or the beach for the rest of the day. This problem is caused by the fact that Windham allows the 320 unit condo renters that are beside the pool to access the pools and lounge chairs. if the condos are at capacity, this amounts to somewhere around 640 to 1200 people plus any friends and family that they might have with them to compete for about 300 or 400 lounge chairs. It just doesn't work mathematically. Virtually all of the hotel guests that I talked to said the same thing. It's a decent hotel and complex, you can deal with the lack of a swim up bar, but no one wants to spend their vacation fighting to get a lounge chair at the pool or beach. They pretty much all say that they won't go back and I am in agreement with them. The place and rooms look nice, the food is decent, the lounge chairs are at a nicer height than most and are very sturdy constructed aluminum, This would be very positive if it wasn't so difficult to get a seat. There are also decent sit up style chairs provided which is nice if you have trouble getting in and out of lounge chairs. Housekeeping staff is nice and do a good job, but they seem to take away wet towels but they don't resupply used bath towels unless you ask for them, and they must have to buy the toilet paper from their own pocket because they never leave enough unless you specifically ask for it. Final complaint is that there are friends of condo owners at the pools that are taking up chair space and ordering drinks with no wrist bands that brag about the fact that they get served drinks for just tipping the servers. The management has some re configuring to do here. Lastly, there is virtually no entertainment at night, (Nor is there a place to entertain. They have a very small area near the first pool where they have some very small shows like jugglers and small dance groups) [Details]

This was the worst place i have ever vacationed at. No towels beach or room. The food was terrible the drinks watered down the staff was exceptional trying to cover for management but other than that this place was horrible the entertainment was what you expect at a bar if there was any [Details]

Room and especially the balcony with the jacuzzi was awesome. That was a winner. Rooms were clean, service was great. What I absolutely did not like was the birds chomping away at the outdoor restaurant, they were so used to it, they sat at the buffet and nibbled from the spoons where I was supposed to be scooping my food. Ofcourse I chased them away, but nobody seems excited about that. I've seen other resorts have a person with a Hawk on their shoulder, and the bird are terrified, and the resort is cleaner of bird poop and way nicer. Because of that we would not go back. The resort is gorgeous with many different pools to choose from. The view of the ocean from the pool is wonderful. There were continually cleaning the pools and the surrounding areas.The Italian and Mexican restaurants were great food as well as the buffet. The service we were provided due to an accident while on vacation was exceptional as they catered to us since we were unable to go out to the restaurants due to our accident.
I would definitely stay here again, using the Air Canada Vacations again as they also provided great service to us as well. [Details]

Oceanfront club room was spatious comfortable with gorgeous views. Service was fantastic. Buffet was small, excellent service good food. Easy to reserve a la carte. Food was good. 3 beautiful pools. Easy to get chairs. No music or drinks in pool. Beach was shallow and wavy. Again easy to get chairs! Long beach for walking. Did not see anyone from animation staff until our 5th day there. Activities were listed but not going on. Shows in the evening were ok. Great drinks at the bars! [Details]

This was our second stay at Wyndham Alltra and we enjoyed every minute of it. We liked the cleanliness, location, and all the staff of the hotel that was very friendly and always try to help.If I have to name some people that went out of their way to help, it would be Rafael and Geraldo at the bar and Ismail at the buffet. Food in all the restaurants and in the buffet was tasty and selection of dishes was good. We would go back anytime. [Details]
