We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coyaba and will return; however, will request room in block away from entrance, closer to beach, and away from families. Dining was an absolute pleasure and we met many other couples from Canada and Britain. Staff were all very polite and gracious and well-trained. Location on beach was perfect for daily walks, water sports and swimming. You are a gem !! [Details]

The strong points

Fabulous beach. Gorgeous landscaping. Amazing food/choices. Daily fresh fruit & fish. Polite staff. Beach bar. Choice of excursions. Dress code for dinner. Low rise accommodation. Few Americans.

The weak points

Some rooms close to road hear noise. Families with children should not be housed next door to seniors...noisy. Would be an awesome adult-only facility.

The strong points

Outstanding beach, beautiful well cared for grounds,Good variety in meals Majority of staff were happy and helpful.

The weak points

Rooms closest to parking lot and street are noisy horn blowing, resort next door is very loud people yelling late at night. Booking early won't necessarily get you a decent room. Avoid room 226

The strong points

The staff is very attentive. There was local food on the menu and in the buffet. The cocktail menu was delicious. Clean beach.

The weak points

Entertainment on only three nights. Not much to do when there is no entertainment.

Exceptional staff from Front Desk Reception Personnel to Housekeeping Staff, Garden Workers and Security Personnel one could not have asked for better. Courteous, friendly and well trained staff. Loved the colours of uniforms the various staff wore, very complimentary to the hotel settings. Would highly recommend the Restaurant Manager who saw that dining room details were well taken care of. The strong points

Well trained, courteous staff. Beautiful gardens. Loved the layout of the resort. Safe environment, made us feel safe at all times.

The weak points

Limited places to eat during the day and too few evening dining facilities. Would have enjoyed a wider selection and choice of meals. More nightly entertainment would definitely have been appreciated. No Canadian TV Channels.

We enjoyed every minute at Coyaba. Coyaba means heaven or paradise and it truly is a little bit of heaven.The staff there were amazing - friendly, courteous, pleasant and made you feel so very welcome.The resort is very clean, beautiful and well maintained. The beach is incredible and there were always chairs available to sit in the sun or the shade. The staff, all of them, seemed very proud of their island (and they have every right to be) but they also were obviously proud of the resort and made every effort to ensure we had a comfortable, relaxing stay. I highly recommend Coyaba Beach Resort. It is wonderful in every way. [Details]
