A nice trip at a tired resort

Although, we did enjoy our stay as a family, the resort was quite "tired." The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, but the facilities need a facelift. The 4 onsite restaurants were good, Mizu and Aqua for dinner were very nice, Gabi Club (Buffet) and Hydrogrill were fine for breakfast and lunch. For the most part, service was good. Restaurant, staff and servers were kind and attentive, but the English language was a barrier for communication. Administration and management were helpful when called upon. Our concierge, Emmanual Villa was absolutely lovely! Our Garden Master Swim-Up Suite was perfect for our family. The room needs some updating as it aesthetically looked very tired and worn. Be advised that the focus of the resort centres around the newly renovated Falcon Resort. You will have access to all the Falcon facilities, restaurants, and nightlife, but you will need to shuttle back and forth. If you want to go to the beach, this requires a shuttle ride as well. We learned that the Garden Suites at Melia are due to be renovated (demolished) in October/November 2023. [Details]

The Reserve is perfect if you have small kids but it's far away from beach. Food & Service were way below average compared to other islands. Travelled Sept 21-28 w my 2 year old and 4 adults. First time visiting w a child, but have been here on 3 previous occasions.
As usual service, food, pool and rooms were wonderful.
I will return again.

Beautiful Resort

Excellent food, gorgeous facility and fantastic room. The kids club was great and the staff was fantastic with the girls. Great service in restaurants, bars, the wellness centre and in the cleaning staff. The only downside was that we arrived late due to flight delays and there wasn't a concierge that found us to show us around the resort and contact us through out the week to ensure we were comfortable as other patrons had. As a result, it took us a few days to get acquainted with the resort and we had to make our own arrangements for reservations at the restaurants. Not a big deal, but just more annoying. Great restaurants and all round a very relaxing family holiday. [Details]

We were late arriving so there was no concierge dedicated to us that ever contacted us. We had to organize our own reservations and didn't get an initial tour around the resort as others did. It took us a few days to get settled as a result.

Good but won't go back again

The hotel is beautiful, great room, awesome view, private swimming pool was amazing for our one year old daughter. However, the staff were not very responsive (we asked to rent a car, their answer was you have to go to the rental station and asked yourself, this is just one of the examples), beach was beautiful but a bit dirty, food was okay not great. Overall, it is a nice hotel but we won't go back again. [Details]
