Club Mayanabo good value
An exceedingly long bus ride from and to the airport is the biggest downside to staying at this resort. It is a well managed three star with decent food and a staff that does their best to accommodate the needs of the tourists. Great walking beach though somewhat sea-weedy and can be windy though kite surfers love it. Though there are basketball courts, none of them have hoops which was disappointing. It would be nice to hear some live, authentic Cuban music which unfortunately was not a part of the experience. The strong Russian tourist contingent can be culturally interesting. Come for more than a week so the four hour bus ride isn't so intrusive.
