Our first impression was that we landed on a fantastic deal. The staff from start to finish were amazing, so attentive and friendly and eager to please. The room was gorgeous, very spacious. However, there was no filter for noise. We were in a room at the end of a building where construction was going on right beside us. This did not bother us a bit. What was bothersome was the closing of doors which sounded like slamming but it was the echo, the sounds coming through from neighbouring guests, that was a bit much. The pool and swim up bar were lovely but the pool is small and if you don't get your towel on a chair early, you're out of luck. We had a swim out room so it was another option for us and we had full view of the goings on in the pool. The food was pretty average resort food but my sister lost 3 days with a violent stomach bug. There are no reservations in the a la carte restaurants which was a bit annoying. But overall, it is a gorgeous place with a lovely beach front and the activity co-ordinator Aaron was the BEST we've ever experienced, a huge shoutout to Aaron! And Ana, the taco maker, absolutely exceptional food, all made from scratch with her own hands! [Details]

You know you've hit a quality product when you get to your room and there is a 750 ml bottle of wine, a bottle of rum, a bag of M&M's, a can of Pringles and a pile of fruit waiting for you. The balcony is huge and the oceanfront view is spectacular with the sunsets. Service is fantastic, with any questions you might have answered with a smile and an "EXCELLENTE". The beaches are not like you find in Cuba. In front of the hotel, the ironstone is plentiful, the sand course and not easy to walk, though there is a boardwalk running along the length to the sister properties which Dreams guests have access to. A wide selection of restaurants ensure you will always have a wide selection and be well fed.
