Couples Secret Rendezvous

We loved the small size of the resort. we were spoiled by the staff, they all treated us like royalty. It was amazing that they remember our names when they meet hundreds of new people every week. We were able to upgrade to an oceanview room after our first night for $96, which was well worth the cost. The food was good at the buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Bayside Restaurant was my personal favourite. The jerk chicken at The Grill was amazing...my hubbie loved the beef paties. Breakfast on our ocean view balcony was included no extra charge. The couples massage at the resort spa was well worth the additional cost. The resort offers lots of daily activities such as beach volleyball & beach Olympics to name a few. The beach party was great, good food and great entertainment. Nightly entertainment was ok - the best night was the steel drum band they brought in, they also had a casino night. This is a relatively quiet resort, the music isn't blaring during the day or at night. The sing-along at the piano bar was a lot of fun & entertaining. Peter was a great teacher for snorkelling lessons. The resort includes some good excursions in your package as well they offer additional trips at an additional cost. The catamaran was a lot fun, Daniel & the guys will take care of you, it's a must do! Glass bottom boat was fun. So much to do on the resort, if that's what you like. Or relax by the 2 beautiful pools or the clean private beach.
A caution on the shopping trip, we were taken to three places; two plazas in Ocha Rios, they appeared to be run by foreigners, prices weren't that great, they were pushy for you to buy lots so they could make a deal. Unfortunately we spent most of our money at the first stop and when we made our final stop at a more traditional Jamaica flee market, they were a little disappointed that we spent our money at the plazas. My suggestion, save your money for the third stop, get more for your money and you can barter better, they have a lot of the same clothing and jewellery.
The resort offered different fitness classes. I participated in the Yoga, Stella was amazing an instructor from West Hollywood. She was there on vacation & to teach yoga for the week. we got to do the morning classes outside on the pier as the sun rose...this was a priceless experience.
The resort was accommodating when we asked for a late check out because we had a late flight out and they extended it further when our flight got delayed. Great resort, highly recommend it to any couple! [Details]

We booked the secret rendezvous, not knowing which of the 4 couples resorts we would go to. Tower Isle was our last choice, but it still exceeded our expectations. The staff are well-trained in customer service, which is very important to me. The weather forecast said 70% rain the whole week but we didn't see a drop of rain. It was hot and humid and sunny the whole time. The room was clean and well-maintained. The food was excellent with good variety. It was a great escape from busy lives and kids at home. [Details]

We chose the Secret Rendezvous pretty much expecting to go to Couples Tower Isle as that seems to be the norm. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and provided great service. We should have tried to upgrade to an ocean view room as our room looked out at the property next door and gave us no reason to use the balcony. Never a problem to get lounge chairs at the beach or either pool, frequent and friendly bar service. The complimentary water bottles to use with the filtered water taps were a great idea. The entertainment was ok, but we were often so tired after a day in the sun we couldn't stay up late enough for activities after 10:00! We will go back to any Couples resort without hesitation. Because it is only for couples, people were more polite and no juvenile partying and antics that you see at other resorts where there are college students out to party non-stop. The excursion to Dunn's River Falls was a lot of fun, also really enjoyed the glass-bottomed boat trip and catamaran cruise. The internet room had 11 computers to use to check e-mail so no need to bring the laptop. The strong "no tipping policy" was a nice change. A great vacation! [Details]

This resort is a real gem. The food and service are terrific. The buffet is small as this is a small resort but the food is absolutely delicious. This was our second time to this resort and we were very happy with our stay. We had tried to book a Couples resort but we were too late to get in. We then discovered the Secret Rendezvous (you do not which Couples Resort you will be going to until just before you leave) and did not hesitate to book. We had stayed at Tower Isle the previous year and just wanted to stay at another Couples Resort. We were slightly disappointed that we were going to the same resort as last year as we were hoping to go to Negril. But this resort does not disappoint! The staff are incredible and some remembered us from our last stay. Many of the staff were still there from our previous visit. This is truly all inclusive with all activities included as well(golf, snorkelling, scuba, horseback riding and more). Once you arrive you can put your wallet away as there is no tipping either. The only drawback is you must book your activities as soon as you can to ensure you can pick times that suit you. Some activities fill up quickly, like snorkelling and the sunset catamaran. So you might not get the day you would like. I would like to mention Collin (divemaster) who is a wonderful and colorful character who makes you feel like a long lost buddy. And Brenton who always made sure there was a volleyball game. The great staff are too numerous to mention as they all make sure your stay is awesome. At this resort the guest is always right. If they don't have what you want they will get it for you. The Couples chain is really first class all the way. [Details]

We stayed at Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios. It is an older resort but it went through major renovations recently. It has a lot of charm and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The staff is remarkable! They really seem to be enjoying their work. You don't have to worry about tipping, carrying money around. Everything is included (if you go to the gift shop, your purchases will be put on your room tab). I loved the fact that you have a sheet in your room to make all your reservations (reservations were required for two restaurants, golf, catamaran cruise, etc.). You fill in what you want and give it to guest services. They will get back to you with confirmations. You don't have to wait in line the first morning to make all your reservations. Finally, there are always plenty of chairs on the beach or the pool. You don't have to get up early to reserve chairs. There are also lots of mattresses to float on in the water or lye down on the chair. Very comfortable! [Details]
