Hm Alma De Bayahibe Hotel

Everything about this hotel was great. Room was huge, bathroom huge (random hot water but not completely cold), The staff kept this hotel and all grounds very clean and were constantly cleaning. The pools are amazing, the view over the ocean amazing. Buffet was great for all meals Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner. Did 3 Alacartes (Mexican/Italian/International) all food was excellent. We had a random rain for a few parts of the day and this did not bother us at all as we had constant shelter locations to go under and enjoy the rain while having a drink or a snack. Lobby bar capaccinos were my favourite part of the morning. Staff were all friendly. Loved it, loved that it was Adults only and loved that it was last minute with a great price. We had a great time. The resort is more of a 3 star resort. The food was decent. Drinks were good with the exception of beer. They only had one kind and it was not good. Everyone works very hard and they make your stay very pleasant. The front desk staff and entertainment staff is amazing. The resort doesn't have their own beach, but they have a shuttle that takes you to the public beach. The beach is beautiful. It only takes 3 min drive or 10 min walk. It is very safe to walk through town and visit all the shops, caffees, art galleries etc. The rooms are old and outdated, but clean. With the exception of front desk staff, no one else speaks English, and that was very hard for us. My friend has sever nut allergies and trying to communicate that was very difficult. Our stay would have been better if more staff was able to communicate in English. [Details]
