Interior upgrade desperately needed! Carpet, furniture and appliances need to be replaced! I would not recommend this hotel!

we did walk from our hotel into universal, a few more steps than parking, but it saved us $19 a day and it's a nice walk. Great hotel room. Comfy beds and pillows. Excellent heated pool! Really nice employees, just generally great. We would stay there again. It's connected to a tgi Fridays and they deliver room service for less than a regular hotel. Great food too. The wifi worked fine on my laptop, but not well on our phones. If you have an apple airport express, take it along to boost the hotel wifi. We were at the very end of our hallway, so that probably accounts for our phones not getting good wifi. [Details]

The strong points

Great mattresses, pillows and bedding and good soundproofing in rooms. Staff is helpful. Pleasant 15-minute walk to Universal.

The weak points

Bathroom ceiling was moldy, long-distance phone calls are $6 per minute and there are few restaurants closeby. The only place to buy groceries within walking distance is a Walgreens a 10-minute walk away.

Overall, this was good value for the price paid. Our package included a 4 day pass to Universal Studios, so the cost without that was superb! The hotel wasn't spectacular, but it was clean, the staff were helpful and it was directly across the street from Universal Studios. [Details]

Hotel has been newly renovated in contemporary modern feel. Staff friendly, helpful and eager to please. Great location with TGIFriday's next to hotel and offered very reasonable room service menu. Room was quite spacious although the washroom was a little small, but clean and attractive. Short walk to Universal Studios and City Walk, and on the I-Trolley route. Clean room wonderful pool area. Restaurants within walking distance. Easily accessible to book tickets to Universal studios.

The weak points

Room wasn't always stocked enough with towels and toilet paper. Without a car DisneyWorld wasn't accessible no shuttle service. Only double beds was hard for two kids and two adults.

hotel suites are not renovated. A lot of broken stuff, plugged plumbing and choking wifi. lucky if you can upload for 1 minute. Staff push you to call toll free number for wifi help. Room smell moldy. [Details]
