I have been to Honolulu many times and this is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in ever. This hotel should be rated 1 star and that's being generous. The rooms smell they are disgusting. It's not really a hotel the suites are owned by individuals who can do whatever they want in the suite and still call it a 3 star hotel. The resort fee $45 a day is ridiculous because they have nothing to give you for that fee. They say it's for house keeping that comes every 3 days! The pool is horrible. The elevator was broken the whole time I was there they had only 1 out of 2 elevators working so it always took sooooo long. I cannot say anything good about this hotel at all. [Details]

There is actually nothing good to say about this hotel oh wait they have free movie rentals with your room and towels to take to the beach yay!

The weak points

Everything! Bad rooms, bad elevators, bad pool, bad night staff, bad hall ways it didn't let me upload photos to this review! Convenient!

Friendly staff. A few blocks from the beach.

The weak points

Room 203. All the rooms on that side of the building should not be rented out. Not even to a deaf person! I was awakened at 7:05 the first morning there by the sound of heavy equipment right outside my window. The staff was great and put me into 313.

The strong points

Staff were very helpful in getting us a new room as we weren't satisfied with the room we got. Got an upgrade at no cost. Beach was only a 5 min walk away.

The weak points

Breakfast was included in our package but it was just average. I think the best thing about it were the pancakes.

Our room was small, but an adequate size for a 1 week stay. Clean and well appointed, air conditioning worked great. Was pleased about the hangers in the closet and ironing board. The safe however could use an update...bit of a pain to carry a key on us at all times...punching in a code of our choice would have been ideal. Bathroom was only large enough for one person, water pressure in shower was good, found it odd there was no switch for a fan. Was also disappointing there was no counter space to set down toiletries. We always had plenty of towels stocked each day. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the free drinks on Tuesday's Happy Hour. Location was a 7 min walk from the beach, and we enjoyed only being a block from Kings Court which has an awesome 50s Diner and hosts a Farmers Market Mon/Wed/Fri, where we got fresh fruit and other delicious treats. The continental breakfast was a money saver for sure, mostly carbs, the fresh pancakes were yummy, would have liked to see more fresh fruit and yogurt for healthier options. [Details]

Not sure if we would stay here again due to the key system safe, as it was a pain to keep track of...and we are notorious for losing keys.
