Miches
We just returned a week ago from the resort. Check in and Check out was fast. Bell service was excellent. Bonus is the room key is built into the wrist band so don't have to carry a room key around.
Grounds: 3/5 New property and we expected impeccable grounds. Glasses stayed beside garbage cans for days (-1) and the sod looks to be thrown down, without properly grading to level, therefore a worker was weed whacking an area the size of a football field, as certainly it appears to rough to use a mower (-1)
Beach: 10/5 incredible powder type sand that can be walked about 4km to the west and 2.5 km to the right. Beach is very clean, daily it was raked even amongst the lounge chairs. Unable to find snorkeling from the shoreline. Signs posted to not tag loungers with towels and yet all loungers with shade were "taken", with only only a handful of people at beach area at 8 am. The resort needs to be on this lounge hogging when not actively at the beach and remove the towels, a fee of $20 to replace the towel might get their attention not to hog the loungers.
Room: 4/5 Do not book building two (facing bar/buffet/ theatre), we did the entertainment, got back to room only to have a dance start up until 1130pm, then music from sports bar from midnight until 2am. It was an adjoining room with a wood door and could clearly hear snoring from the other room (-1). We were able to move to another room in building one and was quiet ( 1). The rooms were large and clean, however the cleaners didn't remove the extra empty glasses (-1).
Entertainment: 3/5. Average performances and it appeared to be similar dance from night to night. (-1) Michael Jackson we found to be the best of all shows. Downside kids show 9-930, Adult 945-1045. We found this late for our sleep routine, would have preferred show to start at 830pm (-1)
Bar: 1/5 First day after check in we went to buffet then to the main bar, four employees and we were the only customers and we were ignored, employees chatting and took over 10 minutes for service, 2nd time was 5:43 for service (stop watch). Pool bar was no different with lack of service, found both area employees rude and rather be on their phones. The highlight was Victor (solo cart by the pool, he was efficient and quick, he leads by example. Day 5/6/7 we think a new set of employees worked the bar as the service was a complete reversal with fast service. We did tip for appropriate service. Several drinks listed on the menu were not available for majority of out time there (Baby, Mojito)
Buffet: 2/5 Food was overall very bland and repetitive. Basic salt and pepper, no hot sauces observed. Omelet and pasta station were ok. Fresh made wood fire pizza was lacking sauce, majority was cheese only. Several veggie pizza, or minimal meat on any pizza. Servers/cleaners were very fast and efficient in the buffet area. CLEANLINESS: Were provided hand sanitizer entering and exiting, now this is where it fell apart. This is not resort fault, but the high amount of disgusting pigs in the buffet – people placing items onto their plate, putting down the spoon/utensil and then grabbing food with their hands and shoving it into their mouth, saw two different people licking their fingers and then right back onto another utensil to get scoop of something else. BLAH! Almost feel that the resort needs a couple mobile hand sanitizer people and when they see this disgusting behaviour they squirt the person again.
Pool: 3/5 Didn't use, we are beach dwellers. We did try to go to pool one day and had breakfast and out to pool at 830am. Signs posted to not tag loungers with towels and yet all loungers with shade were "taken", with only one couple at their area. The resort needs to be on this lounge hogging when not actively at the pool so all have an opportunity to enjoy the pool.
Coffee Café: 3/5 Opens at 9am (-1) and didn't have menu items toffee or caramel cappuccino (-1). Hours should be changed to start at 6am as there is no coffee available until 7am in buffet
A la Carte: Atlantic 3/5 was average, some items bland, one dish overpowered by garlic. Mediterranean 5/5 the Filet Mignon and Tiramisu were outstanding.
RESORT VIVA SELLERS (RED shirts) – constantly bugging/harassing/delaying us every time we walked through the center of building two. We then figured out to look for the red shirts prior to walking that direction and try to plan an alternate route.
Disappointed, our experience was shocking from a Wyndham, of what we anticipated. We would not return to this resort or any Viva resort elsewhere (red shirts turned us really off the brand). [Details]

Viva Miches by Wyndham – A Hidden Paradise
Emiliano Ubaldi, Saint Eustache, QC

If you're looking for a paradise-like destination, far from mass tourism and surrounded by nature, Viva Miches by Wyndham is the perfect choice. This stunning resort offers a serene atmosphere, modern accommodations, and top-notch comfort. Despite minor drawbacks, Viva Miches by Wyndham offers an exceptional experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, the resort is impeccable, and the natural surroundings are stunning. Service speed at the buffet and bars could improve, but overall, it's a highly recommended getaway for those seeking tranquility, nature, and excellent amenities. [Details]

The strong points
An untouched paradise with a breathtaking 10 km-long beach at Playa Esmeralda, nestled between jungle and palm trees. This newly built, spotless resort offers modern, well-equipped rooms, a beachside pool, delicious cuisine and free water sports.
The weak points
Reaching this untouched paradise requires a long journey from Punta Cana Airport. The à la carte restaurants vary in quality, and evening shows are modest compared to grander resorts. The beach, though pristine, has slightly darker sand and greenish water
