Hotel was much better than I imagined... clean and friendly. Rooms were bigger than expected and great balcony. However, there was no airconditioning during the day. Although we were out most of the time, it was uncomfortably stuffy in our room when we returned around 5:00 - seems that the A/C only gets turned on in the early evening?? (Reception said it was broken, but we noticed it always came on in the evening). Beach was small, but we always found a spot. Food was good, with a small variety each night. If you want R&R, this is the place to visit, quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this hotel! And I plan on vacationing at other Decameron resorts. Marazul gave a great first impression. the bigest issue with the resort is the lack of budget for the animation team, the stage is in poor condition and the group of dancers need professional training and costumes for the themes they produce. should learn from the cubans with there poverty and sence of profesionnal attitude. [Details]

The strong points

one of a number of hotels in the decameron chain on the island with full access to all. best news is that you are about to build a 5 star on the public beach area. book me for the opening would gladly go back in 2 years time...best diving in the gulf area

The weak points

the menue should include crustatians at least once a week, there were no ashtrays in smoking areas, contributing to excessive polution around the worf area, effort should be made to clean the beach area to the cordoned area of the beach.

Unfortunately it rained for 12 of our 14 days, however, it is still a beautiful island. The people are very friendly.
