An ok hotel

-Friendly concierge and staff helped our stay
-The rooms are spacious with a wonderful view
-Would have liked breakfast included, but perhaps it's too small to do this. At the min, discounts should be offered at nearby restaurants
-Also, update to smart TVs, or include an Apple TV. Nobody watches cable anymore with all the annoying commercials
-Security should move some of the homeless along
-An event at the hotel or at a nearby location should have been organized for new years. Vancouver is pathetic in that it didn't do anything special for new years (i.e., no fireworks). Even Calgary had fireworks & Van is supposedly a 'world-class city' - what a joke!
-Homeless are a big problem. Sound-proofing the windows is recommended as you can hear emergency vehicle sirens every single night. [Details]

The strong points

-swimming pool / fitness area -size of the room & view

The weak points

-should include breakfast (big limitation) -staffing levels should be increased (e.g., front desk staff often had to deal with lineups & more housekeeping staff are needed) -should include a microwave in the rooms -upgrade the TV or include an Apple TV
