Harrah's was not a great hotel, or even a kind of good one for a few reasons. The hotel is badly situated at the extreme end of the "strip" and the housekeeping was haphazard both in and out of the rooms. The bathroom fan went on whenever the light was used and was so dinful that a relaxing bath was out of the question. I asked to change rooms and the response was "No one has ever asked for that", and "No." There were a couple of long waits for elevators with dense crowding in the waiting area and one day housekeeping forgot my room altogether. There is no conditioner or lotion provided in the bathrooms and in general the atmosphere was one of indifferent shabbiness. The buffet, however, was good, clean, bountiful, and diverse. Also, the hotel did not provide any options for a shuttle or other transport between Las Vegas and Laughlin, necessitating the expensive rental of a car given my departure time. Worst of all was the absence of an Internet connection that worked - the Internet was highly priced and should have been complimentary, and it was a tenuous and ineffective connection. [Details]
