Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort And Spa

This hotel came recommended by a friend, and they were spot on. The staff was very helpful, we ended up booking most of our day excursions through their concierge. The room was clean with up to date appointments. It turned out we were only two blocks from the beach and right on the major bus/trolley route through Waikiki, so taking public transit or getting to a designated pick up point was a breeze. The restaurant in the hotel served fresh, modern fare and best of all, is open 24 hours a day (which came in very handy since we got in well after midnight and were starving after the flight). The only negative, which is kind of relative, is that the wireless internet access is an additional fee and is not included with your room. This day and age where everyone is booking their trips and checking maps online this would seems like a thing that most people would need to make their stay more comfortable. Granted they do have a complimentary business center in the lobby, this is something that just adds to waste (I witnessed several people taking full advantage and printing dozens of pages of full color maps, menus etc. to avoid the internet fee). Overall a wonderful experience and we will certainly visit again. [Details]

The hotel overall was nice and new, you can tell they've renovated it. We had the ocean view room on the 8th floor, and you can only see bits and pieces of the ocean because there's other buildings blocking the view ahead. The hotel location is not right by the beach so you have to walk 4-5 blocks to get there. It was a bit inconvenient for my mother and I because we didn't want to walk back to grab our wallets so we had to bring everything with us to the beach and there was no lockers at the beach so only one person can swim at a time. We saw many hotels that are right by the beach so it was easy for people to just bring a towel and go to the beach and go back to the hotel to grab their belongings for their next activity.

The part that I really liked was that there are trolley stops right outside the hotel, so getting around was very easy (I saw that some people from Marriot had to come to the Hilton to take the trolley to Ala Moana Shopping Center)

One thing that I didn't like was the fact that you had to pay for wifi, it's 10USD for 24hours if you want wifi in your room. However, they do have wifi in lobby, so you will see a lot of people sitting around with their laptops.

They also have a restaurant name MAC 24/7, I never ate there because its a little overpriced for what I saw. [Details]

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days and had a great time with excellent service and amenities.

The rooms were modern, clean and the beds were very soft. Our room had a Garden-View,was quiet and had a nice balcony.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We took advantage of the Lounge's Happy Hour and live music nightly.
Drinks and appetizers were delicious !
