A relatively new hotel, with very friendly staff, spacious rooms with hot water, plenty of food, energetic entertainment, a lovely beach, and a welcoming atmosphere, it makes a great winter escape. I was very fortunate to start my vacation before the closure in Cuba was announced.I did not feel any disruption to daily operations—kudos to the employees and management. For me, the entire seven-day stay felt like a worry-free celebration, and I left with wonderful memories. Keep in mind that Cuba doesn't offer the same food variety as Mexico, so you'll need to decide whether a steakhouse or the chance to swim in the calmer and warmer ocean is more important to you. I hope to return for next year's winter break.

The people at the hotel were very friendly and happy to help us wherever we went in the resort. There is a variety of activities to accommodate all age groups. The food was plentiful and well cooked at the buffets and especially at the special restaurants. We had a lobster meal at the patio that was served by a wonderful waitress. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the resort. She made our evening very special.

We have been travelling to Playa Pesquero for the last 5 years and have made this hotel our annual family destination. This became our family tradition after our first visit , when we fell in love with this Holguin Gem. Our Group has grown from 6 people to 15 people now and everyone can not wait to meet at the Playa again. The resort is always clean , full of friendly staff with one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba. Special thanks to the entire Playa Pesquiro team , from the front desk to the restaurant staff and entertainment. Housekeeping kept our room immaculate. Thank you all for your hospitality, that surpasses our expectations every time.

First time in many years I was back to Cuba. I love the staff at this resort, beautiful beach. Snorkelling is far out, so be prepared. Loved pickleball and tennis courts. 6 ladies went for PB. Food was good. It is Cuba, you know it is not like other islands, but I was never left hungry. Good A La Carte options. Loved the pool areas, bars, all above Cuban standards. Unfortunately, the govt who owns the Resort has made an agreement Nov 2025 for one year with Russia, and planes arrive every week with vacationing Russians, who do not appear to be happy, they are abrupt, board on rude, and do not care to leave food at the buffet for anyone else. They will change the entire atmosphere so hoping Nov 2026 they will not be back. They are rude to staff and do no tip. Such a shame for the loving caring staff. Rooms in villas are spacious, clean, older plumbing but it wasn't an issue for me. Price point it was great. We told 2 extra suitcases filled with over the counter medicine, clothes, shoes anything we could fit it them for staff, and a church to provide to those who have so little. Take new 1.00 US bills for tips, they so need tips. Take new 10 and 20.00 US bills and they will exchange their one dollar bills, as it helps them with their exchange.

We had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful resort. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The entertainment staff (Kavin and team) were awesome, always doing their best to make your stay even more fun by organizing soccer and volleyball games on the beach, parties and shows at the pool and more. The food was great. The property was clean, full of greenery and large pools. The beach was nice with a lovely view of the mountains.

The resort's staffs are very friendly and greatly. The room is clean and AC and hot water are perfect. But there are a lots of tiny bugs and bite you and cause itchy. My arms and legs are bitten allover. It was nightmare. The beach is ok. But the sea is very shallow and not for swimming. The room electric voltage is low. My cellphone is difficult to charge unless sometimes in the morning and shutdown your room AC then can charge it. WIFI is very bad.

Absolutely incredible they went above and beyond to make it sooo special!!! There is nothing like it. The staff are all incredible, always happy and willing to serve you in any way possible!!! It is top notch!!!!! It's unique and perfect!!!

Gran Muthu Ensenada resort: Do not go there- 1.) Sea bottom: rocky and uneven, with a significant presence of algae and seagrass/seaweed. 2.) Sea is constantly muddy. 3.)The worst beach/sea in Cuba

Though it is a 2 hour drive from the airport. It is well worth it. Unfortunately the local women that were visiting the resort on the weekend of my trip were very unfriendly, tried to obstuct my paths, pretended to spit at my feet and called me "Puta". This brought me to tears. And I spent the remainder of my vacation at the bar near the beach, where I was treated like a member of the family. Other than that the staff is wonderful, so friendly and so very accommodating. The beaches are amazing and the staff certainly makes you feel like family. I am definitely going back! I will just avoid the local women that take over the main stage on the weekends! I suggest the same or it will ruin your experience!
