We stayed at this hotel for a week as a family with two kids, and everything went beyond expectations. Before the trip, I was a little nervous, but the experience turned out to be truly wonderful. As a travel agent, I wanted to explore this property myself, to better understand and recommend it to future clients. Even without mentioning my profession, I noticed how warmly and equally the staff treated every guest. Their friendliness and helpfulness made a big difference. We were given two spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms where everything worked perfectly, including the air conditioning. The food was another highlight – while the variety was not huge, the quality and taste were excellent, much better compared to other hotels I've visited in Varadero. The Japanese à la carte restaurant was outstanding, and the main buffet also impressed us. Only desserts felt weak – limited options and not very tasty, though the ice cream was delicious, and our kids couldn't get enough of it. The snack bar was also rather limited in choice and flavor. The beach was simply amazing – beautiful sand, clear water, and the perfect place to relax and recharge. That alone made the trip worth it. The only real disappointment was the internet connection. Compared to Varadero, it was noticeably weaker here. It often cut off, worked only in certain areas, and was not reliable enough for constant work.

Une semaine sans aucune pluie avec une brise au bord de la mer ça fait toujours du bien..Pour passer un semaine tranquille et être vraiment dans un sanctuary sans enfants, il faut être premium( resto privé,bar privé..)...car en base saison, la section Sanctuary pour adultes n'est pas vraiment existante, buffet et resto carte sont en commun avec les familles, beaucoup de bruit la nuit et peu de sécurité sur le site...excursion carmaran superbe! Apportez votre gourde pour drinks et du cash pourp sur l'île, forte présence des locaux cubains sur le resort disons que nous n'avons pas tous le même respect d'attendre notre tour au buffet et d'opter pour des portions raisonnables dans nos assiettes! Personnel du Bites très accueillant, Nataly an bar du lobby aussi ..sinon un peu de nonchalance au niveau du service au front desk et au buffet... Chambres tenues propres mais très humides tout de même, eau et papier de toilette dans la chambre à chaque jour, difficile de changer les serviettes de plage...la bouffe est redondante mais bonne, c'est Cuba, il manque de quoi de différent à chaque jour mais il faut prendre en compte que le resort est à 1:45 de la ville de Holguin alors... Peu de choix de drinks...je n'ai pas vu Mojito de la semaine...on peut marcher sur la plage malgré la présence de Sargasses ,mais pour se baigner confortablement il faut des souliers d'eau car beaucoup de coraux partout, la mer est assez agitée on peut tipper en CN ou en US, ils ne peuvent déposer que des billets en bon état dans leurs banques. Personnellement, à cause de la plage rocailleuse, le peu d'animation sur la plage et en soirée et de la longue ride dautobus je ne retournerais pas à cet hôtel, mais c'est un rapport qualité -prix acceptable en bas de 1200$ en été.

We have spent a week in Playa Pesquero resort. I have to mention that the resort is huge and the first two days I was able to get to the restaurant and the beach only using the maps (it was good that they have a lot of them). Our room was in the building 33, which I found to be a very good position (closer to the beach). The room was very clean and the A/C was functional (I heard rumors from previous guests that they were having issues). No power outage and the "lenternet" was available in our room and even on the beach (on the beach they were few glitches, but still..). The resort very well maintained. For Cuba, the food was unexpected good and the cookies, very often, incredible . No water sports available due to gas shortage for the emergency boats.

The resort is a two-hour drive from the airport, but the journey is undoubtedly worthwhile. The staff genuinely values guest feedback and strives to enhance the quality of service. Mellissa, in particular, stood out with her warm demeanor and unwavering commitment to ensuring we received the attention we deserved, making our experience truly memorable. In contrast, the airport personnel were rather unwelcoming, yet we chose to focus on the positive memories created during our stay. It is important to refrain from tipping with Canadian coins during your visit, as they are not accepted by their local banks.

The resort's staffs are very friendly and greatly. The room is clean and AC and hot water are perfect. But there are a lots of tiny bugs and bite you and cause itchy. My arms and legs are bitten allover. It was nightmare. The beach is ok. But the sea is very shallow and not for swimming. The room electric voltage is low. My cellphone is difficult to charge unless sometimes in the morning and shutdown your room AC then can charge it. WIFI is very bad.

Absolutely incredible they went above and beyond to make it sooo special!!! There is nothing like it. The staff are all incredible, always happy and willing to serve you in any way possible!!! It is top notch!!!!! It's unique and perfect!!!

Gran Muthu Ensenada resort: Do not go there- 1.) Sea bottom: rocky and uneven, with a significant presence of algae and seagrass/seaweed. 2.) Sea is constantly muddy. 3.)The worst beach/sea in Cuba

Though it is a 2 hour drive from the airport. It is well worth it. Unfortunately the local women that were visiting the resort on the weekend of my trip were very unfriendly, tried to obstuct my paths, pretended to spit at my feet and called me "Puta". This brought me to tears. And I spent the remainder of my vacation at the bar near the beach, where I was treated like a member of the family. Other than that the staff is wonderful, so friendly and so very accommodating. The beaches are amazing and the staff certainly makes you feel like family. I am definitely going back! I will just avoid the local women that take over the main stage on the weekends! I suggest the same or it will ruin your experience!
