Hotel was very clean, well kept, friendly staff and well laid out- didn't have to go far to get a drink or get into the pool from any of the buildings. No waiting in lines at the bars, bartenders were friendly and accommodating, pools were never over crowded, beach was well kept, water was clear and warm. We purchased the diamond club pass and although the hotel made up for some of the amenities that were not available when we went, we would not pay the extra for the diamond club again. It was nice for our first time there, but when we go back (Amazing resort- will definitely be going back), we will probably just book the hideaway or regular resort. Overall we were very impressed with the resort from all perspectives. Was a wonderful honeymoon. [Details]

The strong points
Butler service was very nice to have- booked your reservations at restaurants (Seemed you cannot book reservations without the butlers). Butlers were very accommodating and attentive.
The weak points
Poorly scheduled shuttle buses/communication for airport transfers and excursion. Seaweed heavy in spots. Long shuttle ride from the airport made for an even longer travel day. Gift shop prices on sunscreen were excessive.

We paid for the premium Hideway/Diamond package and what we received was not even close. Service is average at best, it is sporadic, incomplete, inconsistent and very disappointing. St. Lucia wants to be a preferred vacation destination, but it needs to work much harder on customer service if it wants to charge these rates - there are MUCH BETTER options for less $. Getting here from the airport is 2 hard HOURS of terrible roads. [Details]

Royalton Hideaway February 2022

Our week-long stay was marvellous. So many fabulous memories whilst at the Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia. The staff, the food, the amenities and most of all the smiles… (even from behind the masks) unlimited to say the least! Every all-inclusive has its challenges to be ‘everything to everyone' but Royalton does it exceptionally well. It's a vacation, it's ‘island time', dial back your fast-paced expectations and relax.
Even with COVID restrictions this place is: - immaculate for cleanliness - every amenity at your disposal - kind, friendly and helpful staff - top-notch food and drink - superb value [Details]

Beautiful accommodations, horrible communication

So I'm going to try and keep this kind of short and to the point. We were on our honeymoon and rather than going back to Jamaica where we got married and the experience was seamless and perfect In every way... we decided to try a new place, so we went to the hideaway. They put us in a room with an adjoining door to the next room and for the first 2 days we couldn't enjoy any intimate moments because the 4 women next door did nothing but fight ... and It sounded like they were right there in our room with us. So it took them 2 days and many security calls to finally change rooms... also not to mention the jacuzzi in this first room leaked (3204). So then afterwards we were put In 3207 and it was less than perfect but hey!!! No noise so I wasn't about to complain about the small stuff. We were promised a dinner on the beach for our honeymoon. Had we chosen to go to the iberostar we would have received much more but we were wanting to try this place/ long story short... they forgot about us. We checked In For this dinner, were seated by the bar which was closing, told to wait for the server and 45 mins later after watching 2 other Couples get sat while we sat away a distance in the dark at a closed bar, we left and went to eat elsewhere. Then as an apology they tried to set us up a nice dinner the next night and also failed as the waitress we checked in with didn't sit us in the right place. Was stupid and it made us feel very unappreciated. So all in all, beautiful place but we will not go back. Not to mention when we went to check out and told the front desk guy about out dinner issue the other front desk girl came up and said “oh what now”... pfff good luck with this kind of customer service. Strongly recommend that you advertise the distance that it is approx 2 hrs from St.Lucia Int'l airport--also this is not a 18 - hotel is adjacent to a family resort -one can hear children screaming. so much for a relaxing holiday. Upon arrival we were total ignored and I had to initiate check inn was told they totally forgot about us --not informed of free drinks available while waiting after the long bumpy bus ride. [Details]

We needed to get away from the snow and cold. St Lucia was definitely the place to go. The Royalton is a recently built modern resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as were all the people we met on the island. The beach at the resort is nice but on the smallish side, and there are more then enough pools to go around without feeling crowded. Rooms are very modern and comfy. we were in building 3 and had good views of the entire property. [Details]

We have always wanted to visit Saint Lucia so when Royalton came up such a great price we decided to give it a try. Along with others we waited in anticipation if it would be completed on time and it ended up opening two weeks prior to our arrival. Little nervous but in the end no need! The resort is GORGEOUS . The nicest I have been to. The bus ride is a little hike 90 minutes to 2hours depending on traffic but our driver did stop at a beautiful look out point for us to get some pics and refreshments. Those who get car sick ensure you take your gravel as is is a windy, bumby ride. I love the size and the way they designed the different levels. Of course it was not near full capacity while we were there so you never were crowded. The pools were on different levels which looked amazing. The staff at this resort are amazing. They were always asking if there was anything they could do for you or how you were enjoying your stay. Donna from the Hideaway Diamond side though we were not Diamond was AMAZING . She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Our friend was celebrating her retirement and Donna did a few extras to make it special...and believe me its the little things you do for your guests that make the memories last. While there the bartenders got themselves in a little competition as to whose mixologist skills were the best...You must try Glens White Angle Dust...it was to DIE for and this gent deserves employee of the month as he went and bought his own icecream off the resort to make it!!! Now thats customer service...Eric, Quincy, Kirby, Caleb , Tonya, Tyon, Shyime ,Celcus and I know sooo many more..you guys rock! The Dorado meals were all great..food was hot and got quicker located Hideaway side Lots of seafood but options for us who prefer to leave them in the ocean where they belong ha ha The Zen was fun...ensure you get right at the cooking show table it was the only restaurant we had to reserve for The steak house we hit on a bad night...poor Johnie got bombarded I think and was a little hard to keep up...think its a little much for one chef to be cooking a hundred steaks ha ha...we sent the executive chef in to rescue him Italian Grazie was really good great Italian selections never hit a night when the Calypso was open The buffet was amazing....great choices and lots for them to prepare for you hot Say hi to Quincy and a big kiss to Spencer at the sports bar, Great snack foods there and ask Spencer what his favorite baseball team is There are water activities to choose from right at the resort the activity gang comes around to see if you would like to get involved in activities they are doing...they need a board up to advertise this , maybe thats in the works Found out about the Pigeon Island walk on the facebook Royalton site ,, Its a must..just ensure you bring $7 for admission to the park, tis we did not know so lucky there was an elderly gentlemen who payed for us till we got back. They meet a the Martini bar at 930 in the morning for the jaunt. Did a tour with Nexus..Im with the last guy..find a tour there on the island and get a better price. Band playing every night out front til 10 pm then the sports bar turns into a disco...the disco I dont believe everyone knows about this yet..we ripped it up the last night there after the street party...they do need to get a DJ in there though that enjoys their job and wants to get the people going..this guy wasnt having fun..though he probably didnt have many people there all week but hey when someone finally comes in make them want to come back. Be ready cause we would Love to be back in June to celebrate our 25th Anniversary cause the staff know how to make it special [Details]
