The best receptionist Antonio! The best person Juan for restaurants reservations, the best beach bartender Gabriela. As a result the staff, all those people make your perfect vacation! You always can find the place on the beach, no need to come early to get the beach chairs. The buildings are very clean and rooms are big, nice balconies. Good food for 4 stars hotel

Hotel & grounds are small but adequate. A la carte restaurant only open 2 to 3 times per week and was definitely sub par. Buffet restaurant food was adequate but not great. We never went hungry. The wait staff did not seem to know what to do. Their service was poor & very inconsistent!! Most were not friendly and rarely smiled. A real lack of training and hospitality here! Pool & resort activities were posted but rarely happened. When they did happen they were good and attended but were very inconsistent. Evening entertainment was very poor & unprofessional.

BE LIVE HAMACA - BOCA CHICA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (ONLY 50 KLMS FROM SANTO DOMINGO) My wife and I last visited "Be Live Hamaca" during the period 24 April-10 May 2017. This time was our 28th visit and once again we had a super time....really no complaints. Each year since 1995 we visited Hamaca and so far we have completed a grand total of 439 days together at this one particular resort. Why do we keep going back to Hamaca?....good question. Once again we love the Boca Chica area and to make comparisons we have visited all of the other all inclusive hotels on this particular beach. No kidding.....we found that none could compare to Hamaca for service, affordability, quality and above all...the only private beach in the whole Boca Chica Beach area. "Be Live Hamaca" is a true hidden treasure. In our opinion this hotel is the best all inclusive beach front resort (open 24 hours - 7 days a week) in the Boca Chica area. In addition to the private beach this resort has a good mixture of specialty restaurants. To start....in the centre of the complex you will find the Buffet Restaurant that offers daily changing international menus...then you have the Mexican, Gourmet, Italian and the newly updated Brazilian Restaurants. All of the specialty restaurants offer menus that will excite your taste buds. Also if you are interested in a totally new experience do try the on site "Pelicano Beach Restaurant" which offers a menu that is not included in your all inclusive package...but it is still an affordable experience. Once again our latest accommodations were located in the Presidential Suites. These rooms are super...quiet, spacious, great views and excellent housekeeping services. If you have the opportunity and can afford the extra cash you will not be disappointed in any of the beach area selections. All of the rooms in the main building facing the ocean are special as the view is splendid. We love the salt water so the beach area has always been our first choice...however, if your preference is a beautiful garden area with a super large pool and a swim up bar....then the gardens area should be your first choice. So...if you are truly looking for the best value for your hard earned cash then try this long time favourite. "Be Live Hamaca" is indeed a special place...safe and secure...where you can relax and enjoy your long overdue vacation. This resort offers a totally relaxing private beach...affordable and it is an all inclusive 24/7 resort. The new management along with a super friendly staff are waiting to make you next vacation a most enjoyable experience. So see for yourself....participate or relax...your choice Dominican Fun or Dominican Sun.....do give it a try.....you will be glad you did.

We had a great time at Hamaca. The staff there were exceptionally attentive and friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels were always available. The Animation team also encouraged the guests to participate in beach activities. Overall, I would recommend Hamaca for your next vacation.

Hi, I read the reviews before booking and I thought maybe people were too picky.. so I booked anyway.. It was a big mistake! The beach is terrible, so many rocks and vendors. The food was OK nothing amazing. The room we stayed in was the beach front suite.. i thought we got lucky.. but the water was never hot, there was water leaking from the ceiling and sometimes the power went off. It had a nice balcony though and we could see the beach. The service was terrible! aside from no one speaking much English the wait-staff barely came around to give us water. The "snack" food was disgusting!! AND it took 2 hours from the airport to drive there!! my advice is STAY AWAY.. in fact stay away from DR all together Cuba was much nicer, cheaper and the beach was wonderful!
