A Great Resort
The experience at the hotel was pleasantly surprising, despite being assigned a ground floor room. My room featured a useful plunge pool, comfortable beds, and ample hot water in the shower. The vibrant nightclub had engaging music and a positive atmosphere, especially with young adults from Montreal being present. The buffet had gluten-free options, including flavourful vegetables, meats (fish, chicken, pork chops, NY steak), and even ice cream. The cafe, reminiscent of a Tim Hortons or a Starbucks, had limited cup sizes. The nightly entertainment, including various shows and beach parties, was enjoyable, especially their new show 'Viva Las Vegas'. The beach provided stunning views, similar to beaches on Cape Breton Island with stunning hills in the background, and the bus ride to and from the resort offered beautiful countryside scenery. The east end of the beach was spectacular with palm trees over the water. On a clear day, one could see the Samana peninsula across the bay and the occasional cruise ship passing by. At night one could see the lights from the town of Miches to the west and a neighbouring resort to the east. This is a resort that I am interested in returning to.
