The location of the complex is ideal. The staff are amazing and will help you with anything. The sound of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks is mesmerizing. Have we mentioned how great all the staff are. But, if you are looking for a sandy beach and a walk into the water, you will have go elsewhere. They have a man made beach, and you and the beach are separated from the rocky ocean, by a protective retaining wall. They have a great pool which is well maintained. The units are all owner owned and the complex is managed by Aston. The unit we had was a one bedroom ocean front, first floor, unit 109. This unit is in desperate need of upgrading, very dated. The carpet needs to be replaced, new furniture is required, and little things need to be addressed. My wife went into the ensuite bathroom and got locked in. Funny thing, there is no lock on the door. Had to slide her a knife under the door, so she could jimmy herself out. The fan in the bathroom didn't work, rice cooker didn't work, list goes on.
To my surprise there are no bbq's on your deck. They have a number of gas bbq's by the pool. You can take your food and beverage down to cook and socialize with your fellow chefs. I originally thought this was a pain, but quickly realized having bbq's on the decks would have the smoke fill you condo, due to the on shore winds.
Let me get back to the condo. There are a number of units in the complex where the owners appreciate the value of providing a updated condo where everything offered works. We would be reluctant to stay here again, unless we could preview which unit we were going to get. And that's why we call this review mixed bag. Have we mentioned how great the staff are ? FYI, no food services available in the complex.
