Our stay at the advertised 5-star boutique hotel in Havana was far from the luxury experience we expected. Major issues included no ATMs or internet access (not even in the lobby), and the coffee machine in the room was useless as no capsules were provided—only cheap instant decaf packets. The advertised balcony and pool were actually from another hotel, and the food, while overpriced, was low quality and disappointing. Surrounding the hotel were slums, with a view of dilapidated buildings from the windows.
