Review of Sonesta Ocean Point Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Sonesta Ocean Point Hotel. The room was clean but a few times we had issues with the air conditioning. After calling down to the front desk, they did come and advise the best way to keep to room cool. The staff overall were friendly and helpful. Loved sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee looking at the ocean. The food was quite good but did not like any of the cheap house wine served in the restaurants. [Détails]

Les points forts

Azure restaurant had good food and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Didn't have to wait in line for anything and there were always lots of beach chairs and towels.

Les points faibles

The Sonesta Point served the same wine as Sonesta Maho. If you are calling this a 5 star resort, include much better wine. We shouldn't have to pay for a $20 bottle on top of the price we paid to stay there.

My gf and I just returned home from a 2 week vacation in St Maarten.
I have been going to the island for many years but have mainly stayed at the Sonesta Maho. This year we chose to spend the extra money and go to the Ocean Point adults only resort located on the same property
What an amazing time, we took a taxi from the airport for 10.00 and arrived at the hotel behind one other couple. The check in took about 10 minutes and we were in our room 3 mins later [Détails]

Les points forts

Rooms all face the water so unless you want a swim up no need to upgrade Food quality is way better than the Maho as well as the liquor is premium grade The staff are extremely friendly and helpful The resort is exceptionally clean as is the service

Les points faibles

Late check outs are impossible to get you have to wait til last day you are there and then there are none disappointing when you don't leave till 640 No entertainment at night on this resort but right next door at maho
